Standard Track In the standard track the students take liberal arts and professional courses, including 12 credit hours in a foreign language; Chinese, Arabic or Spanish, which enhance the students skills and employment potential. Chinese Track Students take all of the liberal arts and professional courses in the Standard Track with the exception that the Chinese language requirement is increased to 45 credit hours. These include selected GSIS general education and designated elective courses taught in Mandarin Chinese with supplementary material in English. Students are required to study in China during the summer of their sophomore year. Security Operations Management Track Students take all of the courses within the GSIS standard track plus 36 credit hours in security operations courses. The track focuses on government operations, government security and computer security. This track enables graduates to become entry-level security managers in the intelligence community and federal security and law enforcement organizations.
GSIS Security Operations Center All three tracks contain a total of 122 credit hours and will provide the students with both the academic and professional knowledge that they will need to excel in the security, intelligence and law enforcement professions.

Requirements

Philip Jones, Ph.D. is a former national intelligence analyst and an international security expert with extensive field experience in political and security risk. Professor Robert Baker, MS is a former USAF AFOSI Agent, Corporate Security Director, and Transportation Security Inspector with 40 years of combined law enforcement and security experience. Professor Murray Henner, JD, LLM, is a practicing attorney with extensive experience in international law. Professor Deanne Austin, MA ABD, Former intelligence analysis and instructor at the U.S. Navy, the Department of Energy, and the FBI Thomas Field, Ph.D. Geoffrey Jensen, Ph.D.
