SUMMARY ANALISIS POLA GAYA DAN KEAUSAN TEPI PAHAT PADA PROSES BUBUT

Description :
Dalam proses pemesinan perlu dilakukan analisis pola gaya dan keausan pahat di proses bubut serta hubungan antara gaya dan keausan pahat. Hal ini penting untuk proses pemesinan tanpa pengawasan. Data gaya potong dapat diperoleh secara online, dengan menggunakan perangkat dinamometer dan personal computer. Rasio antara gaya potong dan keausan pahat dapat dijadikan sebagai indikator adanya kondisi pemotongan yang melebihi kemampuan/daya mesin, yang mengakibatkan kegagalan pada sistim atau proses pemotongan serta kerusakan yang serius. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistim akuisisi data secara online. Untuk itu digunakan T-Series Tool Dynamometer Type TSM-TH yang ada di Laboratorium Teknik Manufaktur Jurusan Teknik Mesin ITS yang dihubungkan dengan Personal Computer sebagai pengolah data. Selain itu dikembangkan juga model matematis yang menunjukkan hubungan antara gaya potong(Fv) yang bekerja pada pahat karbida dan keausan tepi pahat (VB), yang dapat digunakan untuk memilih tingkatan variabel proses pemesinan, sehingga gaya potong dan keausan tepi yang terjadi tidak terlalu besar. Metode pengukuran sistim akuisisi data yang kepresisiannya ditunjukkan dengan tidak ada perbedaan antara tegangan terbaca dengan tegangan hitung pada percoban awal dapat digunakan untuk mengukur gaya pemotongan yang terjadi pada proses bubut secara online. Pengembangan model matematis dari data gaya potong dan keausan pahat yang diambil dari percobaan ini berguna untuk memilih tingkat variabel pemotongan sesuai dengan kondisi pemesinan.

In machining operation had to act analysis of force pattern and flank wear for turning process along with force and tool wear relation. This is important matter for unattended machining. Cutting force can get online, with using dynamometer set and personal computer. Ratio between cutting force and tool wear can formed as indicator there are over capability of machining conditions, can result in catastrophic failures and damage to the system. The purpose of this research are develop online data acquisition system. To overcome those problem, use T-Series Tool Dynamometer Type TSM-TH which available in Manufacture Engineering Laboratory Mechanical Department ITS which connected to Personal Computer as data performer. In addition also developed mathematical model which refer relation between cutting force which occur in carbide tool and flank wear, variable level of machining can be choose too, until doesnt occur over cutting force and flank wear. Data acquisition system measurement method which its precision be show by there are not different between read voltage and calculation voltage in initial experiment can be use to measure cutting force in turning operations as online. Mathematical model developed from cutting force data and flank wear which are take from this experiment is useful to choose cutting variable level appropriate with machining conditions.
