Shugenja Kokusai Bujutsu Renmei

(An affiliate organisation of the Yamabushi Ryu)

Shugenja Kokusai Bujutsu Renmei is a politics-free association made up of like minded individuals and groups who enjoy practising and teaching martial arts. We aim to provide support, education, training and advancement for martial art clubs, students and teachers. Nothing more, and nothing less. We welcome all schools/styles of martial arts, and we do so in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding. It is our hope that this literature will encourage you to get in touch, or visit one of our existing clubs with a view to becoming a part of the Shugenja Kokusai Bujutsu Renmei family. To date, members include practicioners of the following schools and styles: Jiu Jutsu Karate Kickboxing Taekwondo Self Defence Kenjutsu Kung Fu Traditional Western Marial Arts Shugenja Kokusai Bugei Renmei, loosely translated, means the International Society of Warrior Monks Martial Arts. We have formed the Bujutsu Renmei to cater for those who want to be associated with the Yamabushi Ryu but who do not want to practice and/or teach our own particular martial arts and philosophies, but rather continue in their own system and style, while having access to senior grades, masterclasses, courses and technical guidance.

Members of the Bujutsu Renmei are subject to much less stringent guidelines than those teaching Yamabushi Ryu Bu Jutsu, and maintain a greater degree of autonomy. It is our aim to include, not exclude, we ant this association to be trully accessible to evryone and, as a result, we provide services, support and opportunities for instructors, clubs and students. Gradings
Members of the Shugenja Kokusai Bujutsu Renmei will be able to conduct gradings in their club to within two grades of their own rank. This can include dan (black belt) grades, although another senior grade from the school will be required to be present. Higher dan grades may apply to the SKBR international grading examinations panel for a grading in their own particular art (given the usual time limits). For this they must provide criteria and a syllabus, which will be assessed and agreed before the grading can take place. If there is no one deemed qualified to assess the grading on the existing panel, an associate member of the school with the appropriate expertise will conduct the grading. Alternatively, those wishing to progress

beyond their current level, may also train for a dan grade in Yamabushi Ryu BuJutsu.

Locations
Shugenja Kokusai Bujutsu Renmei has main centres in the several active centres in Europe, North and South America and Africa. There are opportunities for training all over the world and we make the most of any opportunities to meet and train with friends and associates.
