Rogil Sanchez Quintana II.- COURSE DESCRIPTION This course intends to give some general guidelines to formulate a research project or thesis proposal. It encompasses the determination of the field of research, outlining of the research plan and working out the justification for the subject of study chosen by each participant, plus a discussion of the different methodologies and instruments to use through the research process. V.- METHODOLOGY This course will be developed in a workshop fashion. Groups or individual students will be assigned topics to be read, analyzed and defended in class. Each participant must present a written report on the process of building the thesis proposal. The professor will promote discussion to then criticize, suggest or give specific hints or conclusions. VI.- LEARNING RESOURCES Computers,books,dictionaries,multimedia projector,ecran,internet, IPod, MP3, CD,etc. VII.- ASSESSMENT & GRADING POLICY Evaluation will be permanent, formative and summative according to the following criteria: a) Class contributions based on lectures, students works and readings.40% b) Presentation and defense of research proposal........60%
