Sensex down by 1.09%@19242.00pts;Nifty down by 1.16%@5847.70pts. European majors CAC, DAX & FTSE down by 0. 66%, 0.78% & 1.02% resp. Nasdaq was up 0.20% while Dow Jones Industrial Avg. was up 0.45%. Sensex closed down 211.92pts@19242.00;Nifty closed down 68.70pts@5847.70.The Nifty & Sensex fell for a second consecutive session as lenders were hit by profitbooking, while Bharti Airtel declined after federal police filed charges as part of a probe into alleged corruption in the allocation of mobile airwaves a decade ago.
