(AFFILIATION BRANCH) CIRCULAR-2/2008 No. CBSE/AFF/AC/2008/133968(1-50) NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by clause 2 Rule 1 under Chapter 1 of the Affiliation Bye-Lass of the Board, the following amendments are made in the Affiliation ByeLaws of the Board as per the Resolutions passed by the Affiliation Committee of the Board at its meeting held on 24-12-2007 and their ratifications by the Governing Body of the Board at its meeting held on 28-12-2007 with immediate effect. Sl. No. 1. Chapter II Rule No. 3.3(ii)(g) Amended Provision The minimum land requirement under category B in respect of schools located in Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad and Gurgaon of National Capital Region as well as in punchkula (Haryana) and Mohali (Old SAS Nagar-Punjab) satellite cities of Chandigarh within the limits of their respective Municipal Corporation/ Development Authority has been fixed as 01 acre. i) Every school should have atleast one adequately equipped computer lab with a minimum of 10 computers or computer student ratio of 1:20 and proper software. ii) Wherever such facility is available, every school should have the facility of Broad Band Connectivity with the feature of internet always on from any service providers. iii) Schools which are already affiliated shall create such facilities as mentioned in sub-clause (ii) above within one year from the date this Rule comes into force. Every School shall promote inclusion of student with disabilities/special needs in the normal school as per provisions of the Persons with Disabilities Act 1995 and in conformity with National Policy of Education Every affiliated school shall sponsor regularly its bonafide and eligible students in Boards Class X and Class XII examinations from the year mentioned while granting affiliation/upgradation without break or inform with reasons thereof in writing well in time about the nonsponsoring of the candidates. Failure to do so will lead to suo moto withdrawal of the affiliation of the school for Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations as the case may be. 30(1)

1. Not withstanding anything Rules 30 (1) amended contained in these rules or otherwise every employee including Head of institution shall retire from service on attaining the age of 60. However if the age of superannuation falls during the academic session, the concerned employee will retire at the end of the academic session. Provided further that if such employee is a recipient of National/State/CBSE Teachers Award, he may be considered for a further extension of service for two years after attaining the age of superannuation provided he is medically fit and is prepared to serve the school. The school managing committee after considering such case of extension of service, shall forward the details to the Board.

In addition to the above, it is also notified for the information of all concerned that the Board has decided to revise the rates of remuneration, conveyance and night halt charges for the inspection of schools as under w.e.f. 01-01-2008: i) ii) Remuneration Local conveyance - At the rates of Rs.1500/- per inspector per school alongwith usual TA/DA. - At par with the approved rates of Govt. of India or Lump-sum local conveyance of Rs.500/- per day whichever is less for actual use subject to a maximum of 2 days including the day of inspection on production of receipt. - (a) At the rates of Rs.1250/- per day per Inspector for classified cities A1 and A as per Govt. of India norms. At the rates of Rs.1000/- per day per Inspector for other classified cities as per Govt. of India norms.

Night stay facility In lieu of DA

Provided that the facilities at iii) above will be admissible for maximum two nights or actual stay at outside duty station subject to production of Hotel Bill supported with self certification to the effect that the Inspector has not availed any hospitality and conveyance from the school concerned or any other source. Provided further that the Inspector availing the facility at iii) above shall be eligible only for TA as per entitlement. The revision of the rates of remuneration has been implemented w.e.f. 01-01-2008 but no arrear whatsoever shall be paid in respect of claims made and already settled.
