Description
Award-winning in design and functionality Thesuccessfuldesignandtheexcellentfunctionalityofthe WIKAswitchfamilywerealreadyconfirmedbywinningthe "iFproductdesignaward2009"forthePSD-30pressure switch. TherobustLEDdisplayhasbeendesignedusing9mmhigh characters(thelargestpossible)andwithaslightinclinein ordertomakereadingthepressureaseasyaspossiblefrom alongwayoff.A14-segmentdisplayhasbeenused,sinceit representstextverywell. The3-keyoperationmakessimple,intuitivemenunavigation possible,withnoneedforadditionalassistance.Themenu navigationconformstothelatestVDMAstandard. AnewVDMAstandardforfluidsensors(24574-1,part1 -pressureswitches)hastheaimofsimplifyingtheuseof pressureswitchesbystandardisingmenunavigationand display. Thecontrolkeyshavebeendesignedaslargeaspossible andarearrangedergonomicallytoensurefastandeasy adjustments.Operationwithoutanyadditionalassistanceis madeeasierthroughthetactilefeedback.

Customised installation TheinstallationofthePSD-30andPSD-31canbeflexibly adaptedtotheindividualmountingsituation.Duetothe almostunlimitedrotationofthedisplayandcasebymore than300,thedisplaycanbeadjustedindependentlyofthe electricalconnection.Thedisplaycanthusalwaysbealigned tofacetheoperator,andtheM12x1connectionpositioned tosuitthedesiredcablerouting. High quality DuringdevelopmentoftheWIKAswitchfamilyahighvalue wasplacedonarobustdesignandtheselectionofappropriatematerialssuitedtomachinebuildingapplications.Forthis reasonthecaseandthethreadedconnectionoftheelectrical connectoraremadefromstainlesssteel.Overwindingor tearingofftheconnectoristhereforevirtuallyimpossible.
