If the Tender sets are requested to be sent by post an additional Amount of Rs. 100/- should be sent together with the cost of Tender set by M.O only along with the name of work, specification number, Address of the Tenderer, etc., The money order should be sent in favour of the Assistant Accounts Officer, (Cash), Office of the Superintending Engineer/ Madurai Elecy.Distn. Circle/ Madurai reserves the right to reject any tender or all tenders without assigning any reasons there of. 11) a) The tender specification No., due date, Name of work and EMD particulars should be clearly noted on the outer cover of the sealed cover. b) The outer cover shall contain the Demand Draft for the remittance of EMD. 12) The rates quoted should be both in words and figure. 13) Tenders not submitted in the authenticated departmental form along with EMD and not submitted before 14.00 Hrs on 17.9.12, tender will be summarily rejected. 14) The Demand Draft for EMD should be obtained on or after the date of tender notification. 15) If the above due date happens to be a declared holiday, the tender will be recived and opened on the next working day without any change in the above timings. 16) The Tenderers who are downloading tender sets through TNEB website (WWW.tneb.in) need not pay the cost of tender documents.

The test certificates should be obtained from any one of the testing center (Canbank/ETDC/Sameer) as per relevant ISS and submitted along with the quotation. If no test certificate received along with the quotation the tender will be summarily rejected.

INSTRUCTIONS:I. PRICE: -

The price quoted should be firm. The Price should be nett FOR/D. If for exworks the freight and insurance charges for delivery should be shown separately. The excise duty dales tax and other levies, If any should be furnished separately as extra of or inclusive. If extra the percentage of Tax applicable should be clearly mentioned. Price preference of 15% for domestic SSI units those who are manufacturers and registered with Director of industries and commerce will be given. II. DELIVERY:-

The Delivery period and mode of dispatch should be clearly specified. The offers from delivery schedule of 30 days /ready stock from the date of receipt of P.O .

III.

PAYMENT:-

90% Value of the all inclusive price of the materials supplied will be paid on the arrival of the materials within the delivery period at Stores in good condition. Balance 10% will be paid within 90 days from the date of supply. No PAYEMENT WILL BE MADE AGAINST DOCUMENT NEGOTIATED THROUGH BANK. IV. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: -

It the contractors fails to delivery the item / materials within the time specified in the contract or any extension thereof purchaser shall recover from the contractor as liquidated damaged a sum of half percent [0.5 percent ] of the contract price of the delayed / undelivered items / materials for each completed week of delay. The total liquidated damaged shall not exceed Ten percent [10 percent] of the contract price of the unit / material so delayed / undelivered. The date of receipt of materials at stores will be reckoned as date of delivery for this purpose. V. LOSS OF DAMAGE: -

(i) Any loss or damage during transit to site should be made good by the contractor free of charge, provide the same is reported within 15 days of the receipt of materials at site. ANY DEFECTS:(ii) Of manufacture discovered after the First and before the second payment should be rectified free of charge and all defective materials replaced.

INSTRUCTION TO THE TENDERERS: -

1) The quotation should be sent in sealed covers superscribed asQuotation for the SUPPLY OF 2KVA UPS WITH 12V, 42AH SMF BATTERY WITH Stand on BUY BACK OF OLD 12V, 60AH TUBULAR BATTERIES & FRONTLINE UPS AS PER SPECIFICATION with free Installation. (Separate sheet enclosed.)Against Specification. No.16 / 2012 13 . Due on 17 .9.12. so as to reach the undersigned by 14-00 Hrs, on the due date , in double cover system. The quotations received against this Specification will be opened on the same date at 14.00 Hrs in the presence of such of those tenderers who are present at the time of opening the tender. 2) If the due date of tender opening is declared as a holiday thetender will be opened on the next working day at 14-00 Hrs. 3) Telegraphic quotations will not be accepted

i) In a tender where all the tenderers are from within the State of Tamil Nadu, or, where all the tenderers are from outside the State of Tamil Nadu . the Sales Tax shall be included for the evaluation of the price. ii) In a tender where the tenderers are both from the State of Tamil Nadu as well as from outside the State of Tamil Nadu, the Sales of Tax shall be excluded for the evaluation of the price. VII. EARNEST MANEY DEPOSIT: -

4) An amount of Rs. 3000 /- (Rupees Three Thousand Only) remitted as E.M.D. in cash to Assistant Accounts Officer / cash / Madurai Elecy.Distn.Circle / Madurai or by D.D drawn in favour of the Superintending Engineer /Madurai Electricity Distribution Circle /TANGEDCO/ Madurai. Cheques and Bank Guarantees will not to be accepted. Small scale industries registered with NISC or SSIS registered within the State of Tamilnadu are exempted from payment of E.M.D. These firms shall produce their Regn. Certicicate showing the materials which they are permitted to manufacture and the period of validity of the certificate as proof of eligibility for exemption from payment of E.M.D. The registration should be valid for the entire period of currency of the contract. The tenderers who are exempted from payment of E.M.D should furnish an undertaking on a non judicial stamp paper for value of Rs.80.00 to pay an amount equivalent to E.M.D , In case of non fulfillment of the conditions stipulated in the P.O. Proof of exemption from payment of E.M.D. or receipt for having paid the E.M.D shall be furnished in an outer sealed cover. The tenders received without E.M.D / Proof of exemption from payment of E.M.D are of liable for rejection. The E.M.D is liable to be forfeited, if the tenderer withdraws his tender after acceptance of tender of if he does not pay the Security Deposit within the prescribed time. Quotation should be sent in DOUBLE COVER System. Quotation should be put inside a cover & sealed. Either the receipt for payments of EMD if the demand draft for the EMD Amount of proof for exemption from payment of EMD, (along with the sealed cover containing the quotation) should be kept in the outer cover. Only if it is found that EMD has been paid or proof for exemption from payment of EMD is enclosed, the inner cover containing the quotation will be opened otherwise if will not be opened at all. VIII. SECURITY DEPOSIT: 1. The successful tenderer will have to pay a security deposit not exceeding 5% of the value of the orders placed. 2.It should be clearly indicated on the quotation whether firm is registered with S.S.I and is a manufacturer or dealer. 3. The rates quoted should be both in figures as well as in words. If there is

difference in rates between words and figures, the lowest rates of the above two will be taken for tenders. 4. Quantity indented may be altered to suit the requirement at the time of placing order. 5. The undersigned reserves the right to split the tender, accept any tender or cancel the tender without assigning any reason. 6. The quotation should be valid for not less than 90 days from the date opening. 7. Sample should be submitted alongwith the quotation. If no sample is received along with quotation, the tender will be summarily rejected. 8. Sample should be strictly as per specification otherwise it will not be accepted. 9. In the event of any doubt, the specimen available at this office may be per used if desired before quoting 10.The Manufactures routine test certificate / or the Test Certificate (CANBANK/ETDC/SAMEER) as per relevant ISS wherever applicable shall be furnished alongwith the quotation otherwise the tender will be summarily rejected. S.T.C.C: 1. The latest S.T. Clearance Certificate Shall be enclosed along with the tenders.
