CAMP-STYLE MUSICAL TIME ALLOCATION FOR BRIEFING AND GROUP PREPARATION: 50 MINUTES TIME ALLOCATION FOR EACH GROUP PRESENTATION : 3 5 MINUTES PER GROUP.
RATIONALES:

WORKINGS:

1. Students are grouped and briefed about the activity. 2. Each group is to create a meaningful lyric for a well-known tune, song and prepare a mindblowing performance using anything they could find, i.e. boxes, sticks, cans, bags and etc. 3. The groups are to rehearse on their own, the facilitators could help by checking their grammar if necessary or lend some ideas about. 4. Performance of the students will be judged according to the meaningfulness of the lyric, creativity of the musical instruments used and the level of entertainment they offer. 5. Discussion.

WORKINGS:

1. Students will create their own country and culture.

2. The teacher will give each group of students a sheet of paper that has the following topics that need to be covered: Name of country Population Geography o Terrain (Mountains, Rivers, Lakes, Borders, Climate, Size, etc) Favourite food of people Favourite music of people Type of clothing Main export (What product(s) does their country produce to make money) 3. Students will also design a flag for their country that represents their country. Students will then give a presentation of their country to all groups. They will draw pictures of clothing to help show how people live in their country.

Optional: If time allows, students can draw a map of their country on the poster paper that shows the geography of their country. They can also show where the major cities are, roads, and businesses. They must also explain why these places are located where they are in their country. Essentially, most civilizations start on the coastline for food and trade and move inward. Students will need to give their explanation of why the people in their country live where they do.

WORKINGS:

1. This is a very fun and exciting activity that needs to have target language explained to the students prior to the activity starting. 2

2. Students will be given a designated amount of the materials to create a house for their egg and a parachute to drop off of a high location. 3. The objective is to make the house for the egg to protect it from breaking and the parachute made form newspaper to help reduce the speed of the egg when falling to prevent it from breaking upon impact. 4. Pictures and detailed instructions will be given prior to start of activity.
