About the Employer Please tell us a little about MDK Web Media and CEG Productions and your history with recruiting apprentices if first time or not. CEG Productions and MDK are 2 separate companys based in Diss, Norfolk that share a set of Directors, premises and some staff overlap. CEG Productions operates in the live events and entertainment industry providing hire, sales and production services to public and privet sector clients. MDK is a web development company that provides web base hosting, design, management and social media services to the public and privet sector with a big influence on arts related clients and programs- this is a niche MDK have carved out and is where the client overlap happens with CEG. The companys started 4 years ago and were run from a small industrial unit on a farm with the 3 directors also doubling as the work force. Since then Ben Bowles, Gavin Thorrold, and Emrys Green have taken the two companies on to much higher ground. We now occupy 2 industrial units of around 7300 square foot and employee a further full time member of staff- an ex-apprentice Zak Macro, along with 4 new apprentices, Will, Ed, Niall and Matt. Since starting our apprenticeship program CEG and MDK web media have moved from strength to strength by expanding our premises, hire list, and client data base. CEG Productions is also now proud to be a PLASA member. (Professional Light and Sound Association- they set out industry rules, regulations and standards)
