T he sustainable development the issue of our time and the challenge for the modern cities.

guide to take advantage of it. The web site show WHAT THE THEORETICAL CONCEPT OF SUSTAINABILITY
MEANS WHEN IT GET CONCRETE IN THE COPENHAGEN EVERYDAY LIFE (the range of green and ecological

transportations, the policies about the waste and the water consumes, the avant-garde level of the sustainable

1. TO DOCUMENT AND TO INFORM about policies, services, commercial activities, cultural activities
sustainability oriented. Links to news and web sources about the everything.

2. TO CONNECT the young foreigners that live or would like to live in CPH with the city. GIVING TO THE
USERS PRACTICAL TOOLS, he/she can take advantage of what the city can offer, using the maps and the
database of the Danish green business.

How? The web site is divided in 4 section:

- The consumes and the market: the page provides information about the Danish company involved in green
business, fairly trade commerce, ecological products. The Danish local and sustainable agriculture and industry.
The page host a database of the green company and organizations of Copenhagen. The access to the database

Rafael Romero Miranda

Rafael is 26 years old and comes from Spain. He is


graduated Economy Sciences in Cordoba University
and he has moved in Copenhagen last year to study
for a Master Degree in Environmental and Natural
Resource in Economics in Copenhagen University.
He lives in Cristhianshavn and he got a part time job
in Den Spanske Stats Turistbureau.
He use bicycle for almost every destination in the city.
With some colleagues and some of his fellow students
has formed a soccer team called Danisquidad. They
met every sunday to practise in a park near DR Byen.
He like travelling, in the last year he went to visit some
friends of him in New York and San Paulo.
In the last years he has been travelling a lot in South
America.
He is interested in the international policy about the
development and the environment, and he would
like to work for some international organization
that provides founds and financing for start up
green companies. He also follow with attention the
development of Danish and Scandinavian market

SECONDARY USER PROFILE


Katherine Broda

Katherine is 25 years old and comes from Calgary,


Canada, where she studied Environmental Design.
Now she lives in Islands Brygge and works in an
architecture firm.
Katherine loves architecture, design, food, south
Asian cultures, cooking by herself, buy green, fairly
traded and ecological products.
She prefer use the bicycle instead of the public
transports, maybe because she is found of the open
air sports. In Canada Katherine participated to many
ski competitions Even if she is living in Denmark
since few mounts, she has already visited Jutland,
the Faroe Islands, Malmo, Oslo. The many pictures
of her travels are now are published in her blog about
the Scandinavian Landscapes.
During the week, when she comed back from work,
she like read the novel by Timothy Findley, Michael
Ondaatje and watch Indie movies.
She is member of Allanuck.com, a group of Canadian
expatriates in Denmark, she has been with them to
a couple of rock concerts. She usually spend cold
winter Sundays to the Danish Design Centre, the
Danish Museum of Design, the Louisiana Museum.
