Contract Dalhousie Womens Hockey Team October 16th, 2012 I_________________________________________________ agree to the following terms that were agreed upon by the Dalhousie Womens Hockey Team (players and coaches) at a team meeting on October 16th, 2012. The meeting pertained to a Code of Conduct Complaint filed on October the 16th 2012, regarding an incident(s) at a party in September. This incident(s) will be investigated and reviewed according to Dalhousie Student Code of Conduct. The players and coaches have agreed to the following principles and behaviour standards to support safety, security, integrity and wellness within the team during the investigation. 1. Confidentiality: All players and coaches agree to not discussing the incident in question during the investigation, with outside parties as well as teammates. The student athletes will refrain from any questioning or pressure to share information or their personal rendition of events to support the integrity of the process and respect their teammates right to tell their story in a safe, confidential environment. 2. Respect: a. Refrain from malicious discussion or gossip b. Respect individual differences c. Open communication the expectation to hold each other accountable and be held accountable for inappropriate language and behaviour. d. Expectation to have respectful open discussions regarding issues with the individual involved 3. Play inside the glass: Understanding the team has performance goals and any issues happening off of the ice are to stay there. Respect each other as athletes and teammates. 4. Elimination of any hierarchical traditions: All teammates are equal, regardless of years on team or skill level. Immediate and permanent elimination of any practices or traditions that are directed at student athletes in first year on the team, or any other discriminating factors. Including, picking up pucks, carrying bags, filling water bottles, ect. The Dalhousie Womens Hockey Team has agreed to hold each other accountable in a threestep process: 1. Address the athlete/coach who has violated the above in a one on one discussion. Athletes take personal responsibility to hold each other accountable.

2. If behaviour continues, the concerned individuals are to bring their concern to the team captains. 3. If behaviours still continue, the captains are to bring the issues to the coaches to decide on a group approach/disciplinary sanction. As a member of the 20122013 Dalhousie Womens Hockey Team, I agree to the principles stated above and commit to accepting responsibility for my own actions and behaviours.
