ADSI CONFIGURATION

I. New Configuration a. Creation of a new configuration file i. ADSI Toolbar -> ADSI -> AdsiCfg ii. At warning screen, Next -> Select Create New ADSI Config. -> Next iii. At next screen, Confirm IPv4 & Standard ADSI are checked; no need to check Retrieve Remote Hardware Config. -> Finish b. Configure New File with the Configuration Utility i. Double click TSD 1 connected to Amber status bubble Nothing to change; no inputs -> Finish -> Window closes, TSD 1 goes green ii. Double click MDB connected to Amber status bubble iii. Configure Host Settings tab Nothing to change; no inputs -> Next iv. Configure Hardware tab Check Onbourd NIC, 4-Port NIC Card, enter 2 for XPort Cards, & do not check 1553 card Click NIC Addresses -> Enter MDB IP for NIC 1 -> OK 1/1 AD = 22.210.168.29 No need to Verify Hardware with Host -> Next v. Configure Data Links tab Ensure Primary Data Link = NIC Onboard & Interface Type = Host Nothing further to change -> Next vi. Configure Nav Server tab Nothing to change; no inputs -> Next vii. Configure JCPI tab Click Add; a new window will pop up Select New Host -> Enter TAIS Name, Select IPv4, & enter TAIS IP -> OK 1/1 AD = TAIS; 192.86.162.250 (BGE 1) Nothing further to change -> Next viii. Configure Radar Links tab Nothing to change; no inputs -> Next ix. Configure ESD tab Nothing to change; no inputs -> Finish -> Window closes, MDB goes green x. Double click MLIU connected to Amber status Bubble xi. Configure Host Settings tab Nothing to change; no inputs -> Next xii. Configure Hardware tab

Check Onbourd NIC, 4-Port NIC Card, enter 4 for XPort Cards, 0 for NTDS Cards & do not check ATDS or 1553 card boxes Click NIC Addresses -> Enter MLIU IP for NIC 1 -> Enter NIC 2-4 as applicable per unit setup criteria (otherwise, leave these blank) -> OK 1/1 AD = 22.210.168.39 for NIC 1; 192.168.1.4 for NIC 2; others are blank No need to Verify Hardware with Host -> Next xiii. Configure Data Links tab See associated Excel Spreadsheet for current data link configuration 1/1 AD = ADSI CONFIG 17 OCT 2010 When setup inputs are complete, click Next xiv. Configure JST tab Nothing to change; no inputs -> Finish c. Activating New Configuration Click the red ! in the ADSI Configuration Utility When prompted to save unsaved configuration, select Save Name configuration in pop up window (No spaces or special characters) -> OK At the next pop up window, select Distribute -> Select OK on the pop up confirming distribution is complete If the distribution process populates error messages associated with it, the operator will need to QA/QC the configuration being build before continuing v. On the ADSI Toolbar, Select ADSI -> MDB -> Start When the pop up window says started, press C to close the window vi. On the ADSI Toolbar, Select ADSI -> MLIU -> Start When the pop up window says started, press C to close the window vii. On the ADSI Toolbar, Select ADSI -> TSD -> ADSI This will open up 5 to 6 new windows Minimize TDL-FTM Client & DxView At the Ownsite window, Click MLIU in the top right corner, press OK on the pop up window, change Unit TNs from 015 to assigned JU/RU/PU, and set Site Entry to prescribed map associated with this configuration; When completed, click Send Data 1/1 AD = JU is 133; Map created is Iraq At MLIU Remote Control window, double click data link desired for current operation to change link from OFF to ON; ensure link changes to OPER before continuing At TSD window, click OPER POSITN -> SURV MODE -> MAP SELECT -> GEOGRAPHIC -> COAST & LAKES & NATION in order to turn TSD maps on i. ii. iii. iv.

At this point, the MHI link in the upper left corner of the TSD window should show as OPER and tracks should be displayed; if this is not correct, begin troubleshooting procedures ADSI configurations are saved @ C:\Program Files\Ultra Electronics Inc\ADSI\current\bin\SavedCfgs
