Wicked Thrift is looking for two intelligent, curious, opinionated and, most important, energetic junior interns who display a passion for and keen understanding of style trends, pop culture and everything awesome about modern & vintage fashion! WICKED THRIFTS MISSION At Wicked Thrift, we believe fashion is a revolution of style ideas and trends, both past and present, which inspire us to define ourselves. This simple mandate sets Wicked Thrift apart, through our commitment to presenting modern & vintage thrift as a totally relevant and exciting fashion experience to haute, style-savvy, trendsetting women and girls. INTERNSHIP MISSION Wicked Thrifts internship program mission is to inspire our interns to embrace the concept of thrift as a important vehicle for todays fashion trends and green business values, while working in a fun environment that will provide introductions to retail social marketing, runway fashion translations, blogging, photo boards, event planning and merchandising. Candidates will be chosen by Saturday, January 26. FEBRUARY SESSION - PROGRAM DATES (total 12 days) Week 1: Thurs. Jan. 31 / Fri. Feb.1 / Sat. Feb. 2 Week 2: Thurs. Feb. 7 / Fri. Feb. 8 / Sat. Feb. 9 Week 3: Thurs. Feb. 14 / Fri. Feb.15 / Sat. Feb. 16 Week 4: Thurs. Feb. 21 / Fri. Feb.22 / Sat. Feb. 23 Week 5: Thurs. Feb. 28 / Fri. Mar. 1 / Sat. Mar. 2 PROGRAM HOURS (total 40hrs) Thursdays: 3-5p / Fridays: 3-5p / Saturdays: 12-4p

COMPENSATION Interns will receive a $50 gift certificate, upon completing the entire 40hr program. SCHOOL CREDITS Students are responsible for understanding their schools policies for earning class credits. If our programs outline fits your schools criteria for earning such credit, we are happy to work with your career department and counselors to provide any information they may need to verify. EXPERIENCE NEEDED Candidates should have an interest in one or all of the following: - Fashion trends, magazines and news sources; - Social media, advertising and marketing; - Blogging and creative writing; - Art, design and visual displays; - PR and event planning; - Photography. STUDENT REQUIREMENTS - Students must believe in Wicked Thrifts mission statement. - Students must be able to commit to the entire session, without missing days. - Students must be on time and have their own mode of transportation to Wicked Thrift. - Students must be presentable and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. PROGRAM MATERIALS NEEDED - A laptop or tablet is needed each day. - A pen and assignment book (one subject is fine). - A digital camera or phone camera. PROGRAM EXAMPLE ASSIGNMENTS WEEK 1: Fashion trends, runways and in-store displays; (Homework: ad exploration) WEEK 2: Social media, blogging, photo boards; (Homework: photo boards) WEEK 3: Fashion event planning and promotion; (Homework: team blogging) WEEK 4: Understanding fashion collections; (Homework: tba) WEEK 5: Interns choice, independent projects for final evaluation.
