Photo Booth

Its an application built to work with any connected camera, or the Macs built in iSight camera. When used with the iSight camera (which is automatically activated upon launching Photo Booth), it allows the user to take videos and photos

Why is Photo Booth such an important Application??

Importance

Students will be using Photo Booth frequently, for almost every subject. Examples of usage would include :

Recording videos for various assigned projects (that usually requires the student to speak) Taking photographs of items that are required to be uploaded (to the internet or virtual project les)

Also...

Photo Booth can be a substitute for a external web camera, which your child might not always have with him It is ecient and eective as no physical connection is required. It is basically just snap, edit and go

Taking 4-Up snapshots

Clicking on the middle icon allows the user to take 4 consecutive shots integrated into one, also known as the 4-Up snapshot. Apple developed this feature for taking fun shots.

When taking 4-Up shots, the camera will give an interval of a second between each of the four shots.

- Eects allows the user to customize the backdrop of the photo/video. - It was built to enhance the users experience with Photo Booth. - To date, there are 36 eects available by default, including distortion of images and dierent backdrops.

Tips and adding your own backdrops when using Eects

Its possible to upload your own images, by simply dragging and dropping into the user backdrops icons, customize to your liking!

Tips on using backdrops

- Do not shift the position of the mac or tilt the screen, it will distort the image - Try and photograph in a place where there is a solid background cover, so as to stop patches appearing on the screen. Even the lighting aects the quality of the photo. - Colors similar to the backdrop will make tears appear in the image.
