A lady is seated opposite a surly teenager with a notebook and pen in hand. The older woman looks bookish. Hair in a bun, chunky black glasses and a smart gleam in her eyes. She looks calm and optimistic, a great contrast to the moody teenager dressed in nothing but black. DOCTOR: How are you today, Alex? Alex: Fine. The doctor puts down her notes, removes her glasses and her eyes narrow into slits. She stares at Alex and purses her lips. Doctor: Alex, I cant help you if you wont tell me anything. I want to help you. Alex: You dont need to help me. I dont have a problem. Doctor: I hear that all the time, mostly from my patients. You know, you really wouldnt be here if you didnt. Alex glares at the doctor.

Doctor So Ive heard you havent been taking the medication I prescribed to you. Alex I dont need them. Doctor sighs and shakes her head. She writes down some notes then closes her folder. Alex Are we done here? The doctor gives her a tight smile.

Doctor Were far from done. CUT TO INT. KTV LOUNGE ROOM - NIGHT The room is poorly maintained and looks cheap. Alex is seated on the middle of long sofa. Two burly men, LONG and XIANG, stand guard beside her while she counts a wad of cash. A sleazy-looking male, MR LIM, comes in and is seemingly weary of his surroundings. He walks towards Alex with an uneasy smile. Mr. Lim Da jie I need to borrow 50 grand Alex takes out a bankroll that was hidden in her coat. She extends her arm, appearing to give him the money. Alex Two weeks, Lim. Mr. Lim chuckles nervously and reaches out to take the money. Mr. Lim Its still twenty percent, right? Alexs grip around the money tightens and she yanks her arm back. Mr. Lim falls forward onto the table. Alex Fifty. Mr. Lim Of course, of course Fifty is fine as well. Alex hands over the money to Mr. Lim. He hurriedly grabs it and scurries out. A badly beaten up man is being dragged into the room and thrown onto the table by 2 of Alexs men. They start speaking in Mandarin. Man 1 This man decided not to pay up. Whats more? VOID DECK DAY Alex is walking casually while her goons approach her from behind. Xiang Da jie, the boss is looking for you. He is not very happy about what youve

done. He has sent us to get you. That man caused him to lose a lot of money. She turns around with a scowl, giving a nonchalant shrug. Alex Im not going back with you. Xiang exhales loudly and appears regretful. Xiang Im sorry, da jie. Xiang and the other men try to grab Alex but she dodges and bolts away. The men gave chase. Xiang Chase her! Dont let her get away! The men caught up with Alex, throwing punches and kicks at her direction. She receives some of the blows but successfully dodges a weak punch. Alex manages to push through the four men and escapes. After getting back their footing, they continue chasing Alex. EXT. CARPARK DAY In desperation, Alex runs up the car park staircase and kicks the door open while the men follow closely behind. Long Come back with us, da jie! Boss will f orgive you! She turns around and takes a quick glance at them and looks around to look for a means of escape. She narrows her eyes at the car park balcony, takes a deep breath and jumps down. She manages to survive the fall but broke her ankle in the process. As she cradles her injured foot, the men look down at her. They make their way down. Long Dont let her get away! They reach the ground floor, chests heaving in exhaution, only to find that Alex had vanished. They split up to look for her.

Long You two, go that way! Xiang, come with me. She wouldnt have made it far. Hidden behind a nearby pillar, Alex waits in the shadows for the men to leave before she limps away in pain and steals a car to make her escape. INT. BOSS HOUSE DAY Long stands in front of BOSS table and look around nervously. He bites his lip and proceeds to wipe away the sweat on his forehead. Long Im sorry, boss. She got away. The boss caresses his jade ring. He is in the dark, only his hands can be seen as he fiddles with the accessory. Boss I want her dead or alive She knows too much. Find her. Long Yes, boss. Boss This is not over yet. INT. ALEXS APARTMENT NIGHT A passport lies open at a bedside table. Alex is in the passport photo but the name next to it is Tanya Lim. A check for thirty thousand dollars and a plane ticket to Hong Kong can also be seen. Alex grabs all of these documents, dumps it into her bulky backpack and leaves through the front door.
