THE PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE

INTRODUCTION

Background study

It has been commonly observed that students of this modern age worldwide are too preoccupied with various extracurricular activities like, playing computer games, spending much time in the social networks over the worldwide web, highly engrossed to various gadgets, hanging out with friends in the malls or elsewhere, and etc. Hence, students tend to ignore the roles they have to portray in their house, which is, doing their household chores.

In the Philippines, much like the rest of the world, the students participation in the household chores has more and more become much of a concern to most parents. With this thought, the researchers are curious as to whether or not this notion is also true among the fourth year students of Southpoint School.

Statement of the Problem How involved are the fourth year students of Southpoint School in their household chores? How often do the fourth year students of Southpoint School participate in their household chores?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY This study can be helpful to the following group of people: Southies. This study may serve as awareness to the fourth year students of Southpoint School batch 2012-2013 as to how involved they are in the household chores. awareness, they may be given guidance to become more responsible in life. Parents. This is also for the parents to be informed and be updated of the characteristics that describe their children nowadays in the matter of the students participation in household chores. Next Researchers. This study can be a reference for a future study to be conducted by any high school student or whoever may find this study valuable and relevant. With this and encouragement

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS The study involved the fourth your students of Southpoint School. There were 40 of them which are composed of 2 classes. This only covers the degree of involvement of the seniors in the household chores.
