NURSING CONSIDERATION -Antibacterial -Prevention or treatment of infection; signs and symptomsof infection like fever an painare reduced. -Twice a day exactly at 6 amand 12 noon; Make sure todrink plenty of water or other fluids everyday while takingCiprofloxacine; Do not take or eat a lot of caffeine productssuch as coffee, tea, energydrinks, cola or chocolatewithin 6 hours before or 2hours after you takeciprofloxacin. -Instruct client to report anyadverse reaction to the physician or nurse. Tell patientthat antacids and mineralsupplements may decrease theabsorption of Ciprofloxacinwhich makes it less effectivewhen taken at the same time.
