Changes in Church Leadership

s a church of Christ Ambassador, we extend our profound gratitude trusting and believing you have had a blessed month full of sufficient Gods grace and love. The church of Christ Ambassador has experience changes in the recent past weeks in its organizational structure. This has seen Pastors Jimmy and Mercy Macharia join Christ Ambassador church replacing Pastor Peterson Okoth, 69, who has retired from the position he served for eight years. Pastor Okoth have served a glorious and successful life in the ministry of serving our almighty God. We wholeheartedly welcome the predecessors of Pastor Okoth, Pastor Jimmy and Mercy Macharia with humility in their endeavors of servant leadership. We ask God to grant them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. This is to accentuate, one sure sign of spiritual maturity of a Christian is the ability to discern and walk in Gods perfect will as congregation of parishioners believing and worships God.

Health Column
uite often, we just work and intentionally or intentionally do not know when to give our bodies a rest. Equally important, it is perfect to be hardworking and very diligent at work but in all probabilities, it is important to recognize the fact that as human beings our bodies have limits of exhaustion it can bare. However, it is important that you take cautiously good care of your body, not only in the things you eat, but also in making sure your body is well rested. In the scripture, we are summoned that God blessed and sanctified the seventh day: because that in it He had rested from all His work (Genesis 2:3). The Lord rested because He was exhausted. This is a clear indication that every individual need to rest their bodies to recover from exhaustion. Consequently, failure to do so we risk our bodies of wearing out unknowingly. Giving your body a spree time of rest is a way of maintaining good health which should be taken with great considerations. So as a child of God fellowshipping in the church of Christ Ambassadors, find some amble to rest after a hard labor or hectic errands. This is essential for your wellbeing!

And I Praise YOU because of the wonderful way YOU created me. Everything YOU do is marvelous! Of this I have no doubt Psalm 139:14 Your way is perfect, Lord, and your Words are correct. YOU are a shield for those who run to YOU for help! Psalm 18:30

East Africa Choir Competition

irst and foremost, it is another wonderful opportunity that we inform our church members about the forthcoming youth choir competition to be held in Dar es salaam on March 29, 2012. The competition is scheduled to be more competitive than expected with fifteen differ ent choirs anticipated to take part on that day in the quest of being crowned this best choir in the entire East Africa region . We call upon our youth choir members to be more creative, assertive and vibrant in their presentation as they glorify our almighty God through songs. As the church of Christ Ambassadors, we hope that our choir will be triumphed as the best choir in Eastern Africa. In all probabilities, we urge our youth choir to demonstrate our vision statement as a church which preaches the gospel of transforming lives in the service of God. Nevertheless, the choir begins its weekly prac tices in their preparation for the occasion.

Promoting Fun Events

he Sunday school ministry wishes to enlighten its confraternity at large of their upcoming Maasai Mara trip on April 16, 2012 to witness the specta cles Kenya offers as a beautiful nation. The Sunday school ministry is embedded on Jesus ministry for children in its services so as to produce God fearing individuals in the society. As a church we strive to have a place where our chil dren can experience and learn about wildlife spectacle ad venture. The event will take four days of adventure, and each child is required to contribute Ksh 500, for their accommoda

The Living Faith

The lifeline
We, too, must have times set apart for meditation and prayer and for receiving spiritual refreshing. We do not value the power and efficacy of prayers as we should. Prayers and faith will do what no power on earth can accomplish. We are seldom, in all respects, placed in the same position twice. We continually have new continual light that comes from God. Christ is ever sending message to those who listen for His voice. On the night of here is eloquence far more powerful than the elo quence of words in the quite, consistent life of a pure, true Christian. What a man is has more influence than what he says. The officers who were sent to Jesus came back with the report that never man spoke lived as He lived. Had His life been other than it was, He could not have spo ken as He did. His words bore with them a convincing power, because they came from heart pure and holy, full of love and sympathy, benevolence and truth. It is our own character and experience that determine our influence upon oth ers. In order to convince other of the power of Christs grace, we must know its power in our heart and lives. The gos pel we present for the saving of soul must be the gospel by which our own souls are saved. Only through a living faith I Christ as a personal Saviour is it possible to make our influence felt in a skeptical world. But if you had the greatest intellect ever given to man, it would not be sufficient for your work. Without Me ye can do nothing, says our Lord and Savior. John 15:5. The result of all we do rests in the hands of God. However, whatever may betide, lay hold upon Him with steady, perse vering confidence. In your business, in companionship for leisure hours, and in alliance for life, let all the associations you form be entered upon with earnest, humble prayer. You will thus show that you are fainthearted. When you are desponding, close the lips firmly to them; do not shadow the path of others; but tell eve rything to Jesus. Reach up your hands for help. Persevering confidence
When in trouble, many think they must appeal to some earthly friend, telling him their perplexities, and begging for help. Under trying circumstances unbelief fills their heart, and the way seems dark. And all the time there stands beside them the mighty counselor of the ages, inviting them to place their confidence in Him.

Announcements

Kindly maintain order during church services and avoid moving in and out of the gate till a service is over. It is important to honor God and to receive Gods word in your heart.

The special couples dinner is scheduled for Saturday 19th February 2012. It will start at 7.30pm and charges will be 2,500 for food, drinks and other materials. Dress code will be Red and white this year and only committed couples are encouraged to attend. To register ,visit our tape desk immediately after the service.

The New Discipleship class will start on the 23rd February 2012 and continue every other Wednesday thereafter. The next women of excellence meeting will e held on the 25th of February 2012. Plan to attend this meeting and invite your lady friends to spread the love during blessing time. To purchase a copy of the Fatherhood series of teaching by Pastor Jimmy for the month of December 2011 get your DVD's at a special price of only 800 shillings per copy for you and your loved ones at the Tape desk.
