The New York Transit Authority has recently awarded a contract to the Roberts Corporation. The contract calls for construction of an underground tunnel as part of N.Y.s ongoing rapid transit system project. The contract specifies that the tunnel must be finished within 36 months. Additionally, there is a $1 million a month penalty for each month that project exceeds the time limit and a $320,000 per month bonus for each month the project is completed under the time limit.
