Eight entrepreneurs from the Camp Zama Community participated in the January ZaCSA Luncheon. Photographers, crafters, bakers, and kitchenware consultants are just the few participants who shared information about the goods and services they can provide for the Camp Zama Community. The luncheon was a great opportunity for ZaCSA members to get to know about some of those extra resources in the community that can make living so far from home feel even more like home with some products we know and love and new products that are unique and and useful. Thanks to all of the ZaCSA members who joined

I
have
a
question
and
a
challenge
to
share
with
all
of
our
ZaCSA
members
this
month.
Did
you
make
a
resolution
for
2013?
I
completely
understand
if
you
have
not
had
an
opportunity
to
do
this
yet.
We
all
are
so
busy
that
we
often
forget
to
take
the
time
to
think
and
reflect.
It
is
not
too
late!
Resolve
to
change
one
thing
this
upcoming
year
that
will
make
a
difference
in
your
life
or
that
of
others.
To
ensure
that
you
realize
this
objective,
tell
ONE
person
your
resolution
and
ask
them
to
keep
you
on
task
with
your
resolution
during
the
year.
I
resolve
to
get
back
to
my
goal
of
taking
care
of
myself
again.
I
have
so
missed
the
nearly
3
mile
daily
excursions
and
cardio
workouts,
and
sharing
that
time
with
my
workout
buddies.
Now
that
m y
foot
is
nearly
100%,
it
is
time
renew
the
commitment
of
adding
exercise
back
into
the
things
I
do
for
me.
Whether
you
pick
a
popular
resolution
(i.e.
to
be
more
active
in
your
childs
school,
be
on
time,
and
eat
healthier,
and
lose
weight),
or
select
a
change
to
effect
that
is
personal
for
you
in
2013,
you
will
discover
a
happier
version
of
you
if
you
do.
So
chose
to
have
coffee
(or
tea)
and
visit
with
a
friend,
attend
Zama
community
events,
volunteer
(i.e.
the
Red
Cross,
Boy
&
Girl
Scouts,
schools,
ACS,
and
of
course
ZaCSA)
or
climb
Mt.
Fuji,
I
am
merely
asking
that
we
all
resolve
to
make
a
difference
in
2013.
I
have
a
little
black
dress
that
I
have
m y
eye
on
wearing
for
the
Tri- Services
luncheon.

What is that...
Soldiers is reported to have begun during the RussoJapanese War and continued throughout WWII. The commissioning of sake cups, used at a sake ceremony to commemorate different military events was part of this tradition. Cups may display a units name, soldier's name, dates, and other bits of history. A Sake Ceremony may have been held by units getting ready to go into battle; beginning or finishing a great training exercise; attempting a "kamikaze" mission; or even given by the Japanese Government as a retirement memento. 6
