GROUP A I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students shall be able to: 1.

Identify the parts and functions of a cell . 2. Differentiate plant and animal cell. II. Subject Matter: A. Topic: Cell structures and Functions B. Materials: video streaming , worksheets C. Reference: Biology by Carmelita Murphy-Capco pp.156-160, www.teach-nology.com, www.youtube.com III. Learning Strategies: A. Motivation: The teachers presents a short video streaming and after viewing post the following questions: 1. What are the parts and functions of a cell? 2. In what ways are plant cell different from animal cells? B. Evidences: Title of the activity: The Plant and Animal Cell Teachers Activity: The teacher will supervise the students while investigating animal and plant cell. After the students have performed the said investigation/activity, discuss findings together as class.

Students Activity: Using a microscope, grouped students will prepare and look at a paper-thin layer of onion skin And human cheek cells. Find the parts of cell and record observations. C. Explanation/Discussion 1. Name the parts and functions of cell organelles. 2. Using the Venn diagram, students will differentiate plant and animal cell or by completing a chart, followed by series of questions. D. Connections: Use the Activity- If I were A..? Direction: Choose an organelle from a cell. Pretend you are in the following questions: Questions:1. What is your job? 2.How do you look like? 3. Do you have co-workers in your job? 4. When food gets taken into the cell, what do you do?

E. Communication/Assessment: Performance Task 1. Student will a. construct a model of a plant or an animal cell 2. Write a description using analogies of cell parts and organelles.
