As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their Picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

Because Jesus was of the family of Abraham; He could inherit the promises of God to the Jews.

Genesis 22:18, In your seed all of the nations of the earth shall be blessed because you have obeyed My voice.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Apostles Ron and Hope. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

God will make me a great nation and He will bless me; He will make my name great. Genesis 12:2 Just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father; I too may live a new life. Romans 6:4 For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son and if I believe in Him I shall not perish but will have everlasting life. John 3:16

Gods rules have some incredible promises too. His covenant was with the Jewish people that if they broke the rules they would be punished, but if they kept the rules they would be blessed. So, just as the Jews were the only people who had Gods laws to obey they were also the ones with the promises to look forward to. To the Jewish people the promises given to their grandfather, Abraham, were like family treasures. Gods covenant with Abraham was their promise along with the laws and punishment for disobeying. Not one of the good promises which the Lord made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass. Because God never breaks His promises, the Messiah (Jesus) finally came and brought a new and better covenant by having His own body cut and broken for us.
