The content of this endnote is found on pages 325-326, where Allis references the little volume (179 pp.!!) Albertus Pieters edited, The Prophetic Prospects of the Jews; or Fairbairn vs. Fairbairn (Grand Rapids: William B. Eerdmans Publishing Co., 1930). In this work Pieters brings together a lecture Fairbairn delivered prior to 1840 (1838-1839), and a chapter from his work Prophecy viewed in its Distinctive Nature, its Special Functions, and Proper Interpretation published almost twenty years later (1856). Allis notes that even in the intervening years the shift in his viewpoint is already apparent in his Ezekiel and the Book of his Prophecy (1851).
