Use Case 1 Construction Site Remote Monitoring -Shimizu

Description a brief summary of what the use case is about
Shimizu Corporation a renowned Japanease construction company specializes in large factory infrastructure development, The construction sites are huge (minimum 1 Square Km) remote and devoid of basic utilities. Environment is harsh to start with constant controlled blast to chip away the hills and level the land. They wanted a remote CCTV system in their construction sites. Project managers from Japan wanted to monitor operations of the sites at Shirwal and Chakan remotely via the Internet. Also needed was Recording Server which records and stores time lapse images for the project manager's retrieval later. Once abnormal circumstance is found, the project manager can look into the corresponding recorded video for detailed investigation.

We used Panasonic BB HCM 581 IP cameras in IP66 rated weatherproof housings at strategic points to with 350 deg Pan, Tilt and 22x Optical Zoom . Point to Point communication from the central monitoring office to the Cameras placed remotely was enabled with Ubiquity Nano station 2. Since there was no electricity at remote site UPS with heavy batteries was placed in weather proof enclosure near the camera poles. In about a week the battery would be replaced with freshly charged one. At the central Monitoring Office a Linux based Video Recording server automatically forwarded time lapsed images and clips to Japanese Project Managers and Engineers to monitor the progress. This solution has been deployed at 2 sites at Shirwal and Chakan and working fine. Shimizu feels that the purpose has been well served and would possibly redeploy similar solutions at their remote sites. This class of solutions could ideally deployed at most remote construction sites For a Industrial Construction company at Talegaon Industrial Estate for remote monitoring of work from USA with WV NS 302 PTZ cameras 6 Nos.

Use Case 2 Educational Institute Multi-location Campuses ASM Group
Description a brief summary of what the use case is about
ASM Group is a well known group of Educational Institutes based in Pimpri Chichwad with large campuses. They want to monitor about 10 campus sites with various buildings, labs, libraries and . The Chairman wanted to monitor operations of remotely via the iPad. Also needed was Central Video Recording for storage and time lapse images for the possible retrieval later.

Solution

After the survey of the first campus of ASM at IBMR Chichwad we realized that in spite cost attractiveness of DVR and analog cameras, systems would require too much cabling. Since the campus has already networked in spite of the higher cost of IP cameras due to low incremental cabling costs and huge flexibility IP Surveillance system would be ultimately more cost effective and provide high quality too. We suggested Panasonic BLC1 cameras for the LABs, Libraries and Lobbies. Peripheral campus area are covered with Hi resolution 1,3 MegaPixel Panasonic WVSP105E cameras with weatherproof housings at strategic points. Also added are some cameras with wifi capability and Pan, Tilt and Zoom features. Total 32 cameras in campus can be monitored through recording and central monitoring station with 3 CPUs and 6TB storage. The camera feeds are available with internet PC, iphone , ipad and android devices through appropriate apps for the authorities with Access rights . This solution has been deployed at 1 site fully at IBMR chichwad and at IMCOST Thane working fine. The process for other 4 locations (IIBR/ IPS/ ICS/ Hostel) is on. The Chairman and College authorities have new sense of campus security. They are thrilled to be able to monitor and direct staff and monitor a real time action feedback from anywhere. This class of solutions could ideally deployed at most large multi-location educational institutes

Use Case 3 A Fuel Depot - Gujarat
Description a brief summary of what the use case is about
For a Customer of Emmerson Process Controls - a Fuel Depot of large Oil major in Gujarat, we had to suggest a monitoring and security solution for a very large campuses. They wanted a Fire Detection system and Public Address system.

Scenario

Solution

After the brief from Emmersson and Customer we realized that the size of the plots and Fuel Tanks to be monitored is Huge( 15b to 25 M) . IP Surveillance system was necessity as Analog system even with fiber network would be costly and difficult to implement. The campus connectivity was suggested with Wireless Point to Point Links. For Pan Tilt Zoom ( PTZ) we suggested Panasonic SW396 cameras with 36x Optical Zoom and for Fixed areas 1.3 Mega Pixel Panasonic WVSP105E cameras with weatherproof housings at strategic points. Some of the cameras are Pole mounted with weatherproof accessory posts containing UPS and POE switches. They are monitored through recording and central monitoring station with 12 Channel QNAP Network Video Recorder. Besides the entire solution includes integration of Alarm functions common to IP CCTV, Fire Alarm System . The Public Address System proposed here is integrated with EPABX System This solution has been proposed and accepted. However the Fuel Depot erection work is on and at the righ stage this solution would be implemented.
