Jan. 20, Sun.-This is Sanctity Of Human Life Sunday. Lora Brock a volunteer at

the Ephrata Pregnancy Center of Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services will be sharing during the service. In addition, our congregation will be participating in the Baby Bottle Boomerang to benefit this ministry. Anyone interested in donating coins (or cash or checks to SVPS) please take one of the special baby bottles and return it by the end of Feb. This ministry exists to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and uphold the sanctity of human life through sexual integrity education, unplanned pregnancy intervention, and post-abortion restoration. Jan. 22, Tues.-Bowmansville District Sewing Circle will have a work day at MCC's Material Resource Center, Trout Run Road, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Please bring your lunch if you will be there all day. Drink is provided. MCC is grateful for your assistance as they respond to the basic human needs of those around the world "In the Name of Christ." Jan. 24, Thurs.- Gehman Jr. Youth at the church, 7 p.m. Jan. 24, Thurs.-Jr. Youth will meet at the Bowmansville Mennonite at 5:45 p.m. They will be going to the MCC Resource Center, Ephrata, for a work evening, and plan to be back at the church by 9 p.m. for pick up. Bring a friend! Jan 26, Sat- Secret Sister Tea at 3:30. Carla Eberly's adoption story will start our time together. We will also have a light meal and reveal our secret sisters. See Cindy, Kelly or Dianne with any questions. Jan.27, Sun.- The Outreach Committee choose to ask the church to bless Colonial Lodge by baking cookies. Feb. 3, Sun.-Youth Sunday-Pray for and encourage the youth and youth leaders as they prepare for, and lead the worship service on this Sunday. Feb. 9,Sat.- Friendship Night, invite your friends and neighbors to come and enjoy an evening of food and fun, more details coming. -The 2013 Bible Quizzing season begins on Sun. evening, Jan. 20th at LMHS at 6:30 p.m. Our 3 teams include Brandon, Nicole, Maranda, Jessica, Bethany, Rachel, Jared, Tasha, William, Derek, Caleb, Josiah, Jacob, Hannah, Stacey and Sarah. Quizzers are studying the life of David, found primarily in I & II Samuel. The complete schedule will be posted on the bulletin board. Please note that we will be serving as a host church on Sun., Feb. 3rd at 2 p.m. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement for the quizzers! -In the coming weeks, a number of individuals from our congregation will be participating in mission work outside our local community. A group of ten (John Miller, Darrell Gockley, Cliff Horning, Ed & Marlene Martin, Carl & Sylvia Eberly, Bob & Ruth Musser and Tim Musser) will be traveling to Birmingham,

Alabama (Jan.26 Feb. 2) with Mennonite Disaster Service to repair/rebuild homes damaged in 2011 tornadoes. In addition, Lester Leid will be participating in a prison ministry trip to Atmore, Alabama (Jan. 25-31) with We Care Program . We have the privilege of supporting these individuals through our prayers and financial support. A box in the narthex is available for your financial gifts.
