RUKMINI DEVI PUBLIC SCHOOL CLASS XI (COMMERCE) NOTE: A. This booklet contains a tentative programme of activities and functions along with the syllabi and school almanac. INTRODUCTION The all round development of the child involves both the scholastic and the non-scholastic, areas of pupil's growth. Thus, we try to inculcate the habits of regular study, discipline, sense of responsibility, co-operation, community service and civic consciousness in our children, to face the future challenges with confidence. EVALUATION AND PROMOTION: Apart from Final Term Examination there will be three Cycle /Class tests (Monday Tests) and one First Term Examination during the academic year for each subject. CLASS XI

NOTE: Pr.: Practical, PR: Project, IA: Internal Assessment. *Class / Cycle Tests will be held on every Monday as per the schedule mentioned in the syllabus. In case there happens to be a holiday on the day of a particular test, the test will be held on the next working day. It is mandatory for each student to appear in each Class/Cycle Test, First term Exam and the Final Term Exam. Each student should have 75% of attendance in each term, to be eligible to appear in First Term Exam and Final Term Exam. In order to pass, a student has to secure 40% marks in each subject. Student will be promoted to the next class as per CBSE norms. 1

2. 3. Should a student fail to appear for a test/exam (on whatever grounds), he/she would have to appear for a retest and submit Rs.200/- as the fee towards retest. The answer sheets of Class tests and other exams having been checked by the teacher, will be sent to the parents for their information and signature / acknowledgment. The answer sheets after being signed by the parents have to be sent to the concerned teacher the very next day for verification. Any retotalling / rechecking of answer sheet will not be entertained, once the student leaves the classroom. Scheme of studies and their evaluation is as per CBSE curriculum. English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Economics, Physical Education Under mentioned grade key will be considered for the grades to be awarded for the following subjects: -Physical and Health Education -General Studies -Work Experience: the student has to opt for any one of the following options: (a) Textile Designing (b) Applied Art (c) Craft (d) Electronics (e) Bharatanatyam (f) Dramatics (g) Vocal Music (h) Indian Instrumental Music (i) Western Instrumental Music (j) Contemporary Dance -Personal and Social Qualities : Regularity, Punctuality, Cleanliness, Attitude towards teacher & schoolmates and Participation in School Programmes will also be assessed and grades will be awarded.

To measure internal diameter and depth of a given beaker using vernier calipers and hence find its volume. 3. To measure diameter of a given wire using screw guage. 4. Experiments: 2 7. Using a simple pendulum, plot L-T and L-T graph. Hence find the effective length of second's pendulum using appropriate graph. 8.
