d what are its main attributes? How is a project different from what most people do in their day-to-day jobs? What other factors affect a project? Project is that planning in which we try to best under a perfect system for making product or buying any fixed asset or creating services for our customers. For example, have to start a new business. In another term, a project is also a temporary job, or set of jobs, used to create a unique product, service, or result which has a set of attributes such as having a unique purpose, being temporary, use of progressive elaboration, requires resources from various areas such as people, hardware, software, and other assets; projects should have a primary customer or sponsor, projects involve uncertainty. A project has a unique purpose. Day-to-day jobs are usually an ongoing process which there is no end, unless the company or organization shuts down where as projects have a definite beginning and a definite end. Projects are different from day-to-day activates primarily because they have focused goals and definite beginning and ending dates. Operation is work done to sustain the business while projects end when their objectives have been reached or when the project has been terminated. The triple constraint is a set of limitations which apply to all projects and include Scope, Time, and Cost. All these are limitations which are constantly changing and must be balanced depending on current situations. There is another element that plays an important role which is Quality that the key factor is the customer or sponsor satisfaction. Besides that, there are three major factors that can contribute significantly to a project success are timely user involvement, executive management support, and clear user requirements. There are other success criteria, but with these three elements in place, the chances of success are much greater. Without them, organizations run a high risk of failure. The other common factors effecting projects are such as incomplete requirements, lack of user involvement, lack of resources, unrealistic expectations, lack of executive support, changing requirements & specifications, lack of planning, client no longer needs project, lack of companys management, technological illiteracy, and so on. The use of appropriately skilled staff and experienced suppliers is important, and the project manager needs to be sure that he or she has obtained the best resources and made the best estimates. If the project manager selects incorrect resources, a significant increase in risk, including stopping the project, now exists.
