1. Aspirate - The process to withdraw fluid or air from a cavity. It is usually aided by use of a syringe or a suction device 2.

Assistive Technology - Assistive technology is hardware and software that helps people with disabilities to utilize computers and other devices that otherwise would be inaccessible to them. Assistive technology products allow people with disabilities to use commercially produced or modified products for communication, education, recreation and work. 3. Congenital - Of or relating to a condition that is present at birth, as a result of either heredity or environmental influences. 4. Infrared - Refers to energy in the region of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum at wavelengths longer than those of visible light, but shorter than those of radio waves. 5. Magnetism - a class of physical phenomena that include the attraction for iron observed in lodestone and a magnet, are inseparably associated with moving electricity, are exhibited by both magnets and electric currents, and are characterized by fields of force. 6. Motion control - A sub-field of automation in which the position and/or velocity of machines are controlled using some type of device. It is an important part of robotics and computer numerical control machine tools, however it is more complex than in the use of specialized machines, where the kinematics are usually simpler. Motion control is widely used in the packaging, printing, textile, semiconductor production, and assembly industries. 7. Optics - The branch of physics that deals with light and vision, chiefly the generation, propagation, and detection of electromagnetic radiation having wavelengths greater than x-rays and shorter than microwaves. 8. Palsy - Complete or partial muscle paralysis, often accompanied by loss of sensation and uncontrollable body movements or tremors. 9. Paralysis - Impairment or loss of voluntary muscle function or of sensation in a part or area of the body, usually caused by a lesion or disorder of the muscles or the nerves supplying them 10. Radiofrequency - Electromagnetic radiation consists of waves of electric and magnetic energy moving together (that is, radiating) through space at the speed of light. Taken together, all forms of electromagnetic energy are referred to as the electromagnetic spectrum. Radio waves and microwaves emitted by transmitting antennas are one form of electromagnetic energy. Often the term electromagnetic field or radiofrequency (RF) field may be used to indicate the presence of electromagnetic or RF energy.

11. Retainer - An orthodontic appliance, fixed or removable, used to maintain teeth in corrected positions during the period of functional adaptation following corrective treatment. 12. Spastic - A condition in which the muscles are rigid, posture may be abnormal, and fine motor control is impaired. 13. Tetraplegia - paralysis of the arms, legs, and trunk of the body below the level of an associated injury to the spinal cord. This disorder is usually caused by spinal cord injury, especially in the area of the fifth to the seventh vertebrae. Automobile accidents and sporting mishaps are common causes. 14. Toxins - A poisonous substance, especially a protein, that is produced by living cells or organisms and is capable of causing disease when introduced into the body tissues but is often also capable of inducing neutralizing antibodies or antitoxins. 15. Vibration - A periodic motion about an equilibrium position, such as the regular displacement of air in the propagation of sound
