All 250-C20B Compressor Assemblies prior to S/N CAC 33034 except S/N CAC 33030 ; all 250-B17B Compressor Assemblies prior to S/N CAC 80044. 250-C20B Compressor Assemblies, S/N CAC 33015, CAC 33016 and CAC 33018 and up, incorporate the new P/N 6890530 Front Support. 250-B17B Compressor Assemblies, S/N 80010 and S/N 8OOl5 and up, also incorporate the new P/N 6890530 Front Support.

REASON:

To provide improved performance margins, the compressor front support inlet guide vanes and first and second-stage blades are changed to increase airflow. New compressor front support .with modified inlet guide vanes, first-stage wheel with reset blades, and second and third-stage wheel assembly with second-stage blades reset are installed to increase airflow. Following incorporation of the new wheels, the compressor rotor assembly and compressor assembly are reidentified.

Replace P/N 6878418 Compressor 6890530 Support Assembly. Replace P/N 6876651 First-stage

Front Support Assembly with P/N Wheel with P,/N 6890501 Wheel. Wheel

Replace P/N 6876652 Compressor Second and Third-stage Assembly with P/N 6890502 Wheel Assembly.

Reidentification A. Following incorporation of the new Compressor First-stage Wheel and Second and Third-stage Wheel Assembly, the Compressor Rotor Assembly is reidentified from P/N 6876772 to 6890529. The P/N is located on the impeller rear face and is electochemically etched per AS 478-7A2. Obtain a new P/N 6876673 Compressor Identification Plate (Blank). Transfer all information from the old plate to the new plate except the compressor assembly part number. Information may be metal stamped, vibro-peened, or scribed. 1.
