A catholic Approach
By Jean Dimech-Juchniewicz
Book DEScRiptioN
This book is a spiritual companion and a resource that nourishes infertile Catholic couples in faith and hope, and guides family and friends on how to sensitively console their loved ones. While deeply grounded in Church teaching, the emotional, psychological, medical, biological, cultural, and financial aspects of infertility are also explored, offering readers a comprehensive overview. Each chapter opens with a passage from Scripture and a reflection from a Catholic woman who has struggled with infertility. The author then offers an insightful commentary on a particular element of infertility. Concluding each chapter are reflection and discussion questions, tips for family and friends, and a prayer from the Book of Psalms.

Jean Dimech-Juchniewicz has served as a lay ecclesial minister in the Catholic Church since 2001. After studying at St. Johns Seminary and Boston College, she earned an M.A. in Pastoral Ministry from the latter institution. Firmly rooted in the Catholic tradition, she has lectured on matters of theology, liturgy, morality, and spirituality. She currently works as an educational consultant, facilitates a parishbased support group for Catholics struggling with infertility, and is blessed to be a stay-athome mom to her three little miracles.
She [Jean] gives the Catholic reader the spiritual, moral, emotional, and medical tools to navigate through the uncertain and scary waters of infertility.
Katie Elrod, educator, co-author of The Churchs Best Kept Secret: Church Teaching on Infertility Treatment in Women, Sex, and the Church: A Case for Catholic Teaching
