of the gas. If 45% excess air is supplied, find the volume analysis of the products.
(b) A boiler is fired with coal having the following percentage composition by weight C=74%, H2
=6.8%, O2 =13.2% N2=2.1% S= 1.0% ash=2.9%. Calcu- late the minimum quantity of air required
for the complete combustion of 1 kg of coal and the percentage composition of the dry product of
combustion, if 20% excess air is supplied. [8+8]
