We also thank the people who generously donated items and services to the auction. Tonight you have the opportunity to socialize with parents, teachers, alumni and friends of West Chester Playschool. At the same time you will be able to purchase artwork from local Chester County Artists, gift certificates to restaurants, museums, shows and sporting events or find a special gift for family or friends. As you are bidding on the classroom treasures remember this is the beginning of lasting friendships for parents and children. We all believe in the same philosophy for our children and that is why we are here to support West Chester Playschool, a nonprofit, cooperative school. Auction Rules & Procedures

Silent Auction: Each bidder is assigned a bid number (written on the back of this program). All silent auction items have bid sheets which identify the item, the minimum bid and minimum raise. To bid on an item, write your bid number and the amount of your bid on the next available line. All bids must be in whole dollar amounts and must start at or above the minimum. All raises must exceed the previous bid by at least the designated minimums noted on the bid sheet. SILENT BIDDING OPENS AT 6:30 PM AND CLOSE BY 8:30 PM! Table closing will occur in 3 parts, by section at 10 minute intervals, beginning at 8:00 pm. Before the closure, there will be 10 minute, 5 minute and 1 minute warnings issued by an auction official. Once the section has closed, no more bids can be placed. The last valid bid on the bid sheet will be the winner. Please do not remove bid sheets. Live Auction: To bid on an item during the Live Auction, raise your catalog with bidder number face forward when the auctioneer states the bid. The winning bidder will be asked to sign the bid sheet, which will then be added into the tally process. Raffle Tickets: Tickets may be purchased at $5 each, 3 for $10 or 10 for $20, without limitation. These tickets are good for the Raffle Baskets on the counter in the hallway. For the Raffle Baskets, please write your name and phone number on the back of each ticket and place them in the container(s) designated for the basket(s) of your choice. WINNING RAFFLE BASKET TICKETS WILL BE DRAWN AFTER COMPLETION OF THE SILENT AUCTION! Check out opens at the CONCLUSION of the Live Auction. ALL SALES ARE FINAL: Please read carefully all terms and conditions for each item. Expiration and validity dates are the responsibility of the bidder. Auction purchases are sold as is and neither the school nor the donor makes any warranties or representations of any kind with respect to the items purchased. Playschool and the donors are not responsible for any personal injuries or damages resulting from the use of goods or services sold. Buyers waive any claim for liability against Playschool or the donors when purchasing any item at the auction. Item descriptions have been made with every reasonable effort to be correct. West Chester Playschool and the auction committee will not be held responsible for any misprints on the program or bid sheets. Items must be paid for in full the night of the Auction via cash or check (made payable to West Chester Playschool.) An auction purchase constitutes a charitable donation when the purchase price exceeds the fair market valve. The difference between the purchase price and the fair market value is deductible as allowed by law. In the absence of a fair market value, the purchase price is considered the fair market value. West Chester Playschool lists the fair market value where established by the donors, or otherwise possible, and prices are accurate to the best of the schools knowledge. Only an auction official may nullify a bid.
