Sixth semester BBM Model Question Paper for Management Information System Maximum marks -100 to be allocated Section A: Objective type and without choice. Each question carries 1 mark. Section B: Short answer type- 10 questions to be answered out of 12. Each carries 2 marks. Section C: Analytical type-4 questions to be answered out of 6 questions. Each carrying 6 marks. Section D: Essay type- 3 questions to be answered out of 5 questions. Each carries 10 marks. Section E: Case Study analysis- it is a compulsory question carrying 16 marks. SECTION A (Purely objective type and without choice) 10*1=10marks Comprising of 1 Fill in the blanks 2. selecting right answers from given alternatives. 3. True or false Questions can be given from any part of the syllabus. Questions to be given to seek students ability to write exact answer in a word. SECTION B (short type answer) 10*2=20marks Answer not to exceed 5 lines of normal handwriting. Questions to be given to seek definition of terminologies used in the chapter. Test the conceptual and basic understanding of concepts in each chapter. Sample question: 1) what is TPS? 2) what do you understand by office automation system? SECTION C (Analytical type) 4*6=24marks Answers not to exceed 2 pages of normal handwriting. Questions to be given to test the analytical ability of the students. Sample question: 1) explain the concept of Artificial intelligence 2) write a note on ESS. SECTION D (Essay type) 3*10=30marks Questions to be set on all the chapters. Questions not to be repeated from the same chapter. Questions should be framed in such a way that it balances the hour wise allocation.i.e it should not be too lengthy. Answers not to exceed 3 pages of normal handwriting. Questions to be set to test the level of knowledge and evaluate the effort of the students in understanding the theoretical knowledge of each unit. Criteria like presentation, neatness etc can be considered instead of the answer alone. Sample questions: 1) explain decision making process 2) What is computer hardware? Explain various input and output devices. SECTION E (case study) 1*16=16 This is a compulsory question. It should test the students ability to make analysis and judgmental ability. Case should be remotely pertaining to the subject and can have two or three questions (of the case) which the student has to answer after reading the case Sample question: any case study talking about the benefits of internet to business people and the questions can be based on the case study. _____________________________________
