As they push women to take a stand against social issues, and obtain a higher level of education , (ONU Mujeres, 2013). UN Empowerment offi ce has created a change in the representation of women in Ecuador. Over the past few years Ecuador has seen a change in the education levels of its women receiving an education. In 1971 the ratio of girls to boys receiving a primary or secondary education was 94 girls to every boy, (Gapminder trademark of Google, 2013). See this new during the 1971 was important due to the fact that this was the age were women stopped being second-class citizens and started to take important places in society. In the year 2010 there was a ratio even higher of 101 girls pre every boy, (Gapminder trademark of Google, 2013). Taking in to account that there is a 40-year difference at a pace of 0.175 of a women per the growth that has happened has been important. This shows that more and more women are become literary and are having the capability to be productive members of society. Along with the growth of women receiving an education in Ecuador the fertility rate has changed in grate variance. In the year 1970 per every women in Ecuador there was a calculated rated of 6.5 children, (Gapminder trademark of

Google, 2013). This meant that in approximation each women was having 6.5 children, which could lead to an over population. Yet looking at the rate of how many women were in school the numbers was corresponding. By year 2011 the fertility rate was reduced to 2.4, (Gapminder trademark of Google, 2013). This means that in a 40-year span the reproduction of babies has dropped by 4.1. Which means that there as a reeducation of 0.1025 babies per year. This number may not seem important but with a fertility of 2.4 a population and be well maintained. This means that the more educated the women in Ecuador are the lower their fertility rates are. The UN Empowerment of Women in Ecuador has had a positive reflection in how the progress of women over the last few decades. Women in Ecuador are now more likely to obtain a certificate of education, and receive an equal pay rate as men. Not only has this progress been made but also women are not have a high reproduction rate. Women are now able to see that they can create a small business and provide for their families, without the need of a man. The empowerment given to women by the UN in Ecuador has showed them that they no long have to be oppressed by domestic violence, and that finding their role in sociality is important. Overall the UN Empowerment of Women in Ecuador has expanded who and what women in Ecuador stand for.
