Vincent Odhiambo Bathroom 2nd November 2012 S/KA1001/JG 12

Submitted under the New Creation Realities course in partial fulfilment of the Diploma in Christian/Kingdom Ministries

A) Bathroom description The bathroom is accurately described as a hygenising (sic) chamber is entered through an upright scanner that assesses the extent of dead skin, dirt, bacteria, fungi and other undesirables on the body that needs attending to. It prints out a bathing plan and sends the relevant data to the connected bathroom appurtenances. These will then self-calibrate for an optimal bathing experience. The user then steps through one of three walk-pads which carry out the following tasks: i. For lavatory:- she turns left into a specialised toilet that has already received data from the hygenising chamber as to the quantity and character of the waste that needs to be expelled; the lavatory cleans the relevant orifices as appropriate after completion. This dispels the need for a bidet. However there is a stand-alone bidet in the event that the user desires to have their orifices cleaned without the use of the lavatory. ii. For hand-washing:- whether directly or after the lavatory, the user then places their hands, palms-up, under a sensor-powered faucet which streams warm, pressurised water, sanitised with soap and disinfectant. The sensor determines the quantity and temperature of the water following data input from the hygenising chamber and the

lavatory as appropriate. If the user has served their need, the hand-washing appurtenance then converts the stream of water into a slather of scented hand lotion which is swirled onto the hands. iii. For a body wash the user steps through the centre walk-pad to gain entry to the bathing facilities. These comprise a sunken bathtub with translucent sides for a good view of the fish in the aquarium upon which the entire bathroom sits. The bathtub is equipped with water jets for a whirlpool effect. According to the data from the hygenising chamber and any settings the user has manually selected, the user settles into a bathing solution of milky warm water whose temperature is kept constant by the sensors embedded into the bathtub walls and floor. The bathing solution has soap whose ph value is adjusted to optimise the surfactant effect, is scented per the users standard preferences. The head of the bathtub is shaped to cup the users head, and adjusts automatically for different users. The angle of the headrest is adjustable to allow for viewing of the different flat screens embedded into the walls of the bathroom. iv. The right hand-side walk-pad takes the user to the shower chamber where a regular shower may be obtained. The water temperature and composition has been preoptimised accordingly. The shower chamber has inbuilt massaging rollers for standing massages especially for the leg muscles best kneaded when in a semi-contracted position. The shower also contains a warm air blow dry thus obviating the need for towels. v. To the side are non-bathing accessories comprising a Jacuzzi, a sun bed, a steam chamber and a lying room whose bed is equipped with massaging nodes. All the facilities are comprised of Italian porcelain and the metallic fixtures and fittings are finished off in white gold. The areas with heavy usage are protected with platinum. The whole bathroom sits on a fish tank and the floors are translucent glass which is lit from underneath. The bathroom itself rotates on its base (fish included) for optimal views depending on the direction of the sun and time of the year. All fabrics are made of woven 6 ply Egyptian cotton. These include the bathing robes, towels (where preferred). Both towels and toilet paper are not necessary as there are automated appliances fitted with apparatus for the purpose.
