Description of My Business

Filipinos are fond of eating sweets while having conversations with those people whom they find comfortable to be with. This certain behavior of our consumers give us a hint to make this kind of business in which we think would surely be a hit. We decided to sell the common ice cold coffee and munchkin in which we would be the one to make it as our signature product. What differentiates our product from our competitors is that ,we made a twist on it. We decided to let our consumers choose what toppings would they add on their food. It can either be mallows, chocolate, biscuits and more but of course with an additional price. It depends on our customers if they would be putting add-ons on their munchkins, but we are offering them discounts if they would be purchasing munchkin and ice cold coffee at the same time, instead of purchasing it at its normal price.

Procedures 1.Using the mortar and pestle, slowly crush the biscuits into pieces(as fine as you want) 2.Pour in condensed milk to sweeten your mixture. 3.Make some small balls out of your mixture. 4.Roll your munchkin balls into the dessicated coconuts or powdered sugar. 5.Serve with the desired toppings.

Targeted Market and Customers

The students, faculty and staff of Cor Jesu College are the primary target of our business since the population is continuously growing. It would be an opportunity for us as marketers to introduce our product to them. Although we cannot justify that all of the people in this institution are fond of eating sweets but what we are looking at, is the population which would be great to spread the news about our business. We also find the environment of Cor Jesu College a perfect place to market our product since the students are fond of chatting and eating during their leisure time.

Growth Trends In This Business

We all know that the market of sweets is continually growing and we can never really deny the happiness that these foods bring us. Sweets are one of the consumed products worldwide for there are different product line of sweets the market offers. We Filipinos often think that consuming sweets like chocolates may result to being overweight but this was proven wrong by Beatrice A. Golomb, M.D., Ph.D and her team who conducted a survey through questionnaires. The volunteers were given questionnaires which included questions about their weekly chocolate consumption rates. 975 of them completed the chocolaterelated questions. 972 of them had their body mass indexes (BMIs) measured. The authors noted: "Adults who consumed chocolate more frequently had a lower BMI than those who consumed chocolate less often."
Pricing Power

The pricing strategy that our business would be using is Optional Product pricing. As what we have stated, we are offering add-ons and discounts for further purchasing. The Regular price for our munchkin is P5.00 and P2.00 for every additional topping. The price for our ice cold coffee is P10.00 but if our customers would be buying an ordinary munchkin plus an ice cold coffee we would be adding their desired toppings for free.
