/ Qualifications 1. 6 (1) (2)8 (3) Foreign students who are neither citizens of the Republic of China (R.O.C.), nor Overseas Chinese Students may apply for admission according to the regulations of this brochure. These regulations are not applicable for those who are citizens of Hong Kong or Macao. Foreign students who had stayed abroad (Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao are excluded) for more than 6 years and meet the following conditions may also apply for admission according to the regulations of this brochure. (1)While applying, foreign students currently have the nationality of R.O.C. must NEVER establish any household registration in Taiwan. (2)Before applying, foreign students used to have the nationality of R.O.C. must have abdicated their R.O.C. nationality for more than 8 years. (3)Applicants in the preceding subparagraph 1 and subparagraph 2 shall NEVER study in Taiwan as Overseas Chinese Students, also can NOT apply for admission to the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students (http://www.overseas.ncnu.edu.tw/) this year. 2. International students who have graduated from a high school, college or university recognized by the Ministry of Education of R.O.C., can apply for admission. (please refer to the website http://www.edu.tw/). International students with a high school diploma are eligible to apply for the four-year undergraduate programs; students with a bachelors degree are eligible to apply for the masters programs; students with a masters degree are eligible to apply for the doctoral programs. 3. Students from the foreign universities with agreement of dual degree program with CYUT may apply according to this brochure. 4. Foreign students currently enrolled in other universities in Taiwan may apply for CYUT admission according to this brochure with certificate of enrollment and transcript officially provided during application.

Copy of the highest academic diploma and the transcript of the highest educational degree officially sealed by original school. (If the original document is not in English or Chinese, the document must be notarized after being translated into English or Chinese.) Once those documents are dubious, CYUT may request them to be authenticated by R.O.C. embassies, representative, consulates, or other mission authorized by the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (hereinafter referred to as Taiwan Overseas Mission). 3. Financial Statement verified / sealed by the financial institution with proof of sufficient funds for the applicants entire stay for study in Taiwan. Once the financial statement is dubious, CYUT may request it to be authenticated by Taiwan Overseas Mission. 4. Copy of passport or other equivalent verification of nationality. Other materials required by specific departments / institutes; in this case, the applicant shall be notified as needed. / Other Important Issues 1. Those applicants who apply for more than one program can only register into one of them. 2. The diploma and transcript submitted for application review shall first be authenticated in accordance with the rules promulgated by the ROC Ministry of Education, except for diplomas and transcripts issued by Overseas Taiwanese or Overseas Chinese schools. 3.

 In accordance with the Ministry of Education regulations, those who have been dropped out of or withdrawn from school due to failure of their conduct, failure of their academic grade, or found guilty of criminal cases are NOT eligible to apply. Applicants who violate this regulation will have their admission nullified or status as a Chaoyang University of Technology (CYUT) student revoked. 4. 2-23-5+886-2-234328886 225+886-4-25285475 Non-degree applicants are not eligible for a resident visa. Admission shall be denied and / or the student shall be dismissed from CYUT after admission if there are any violations of the general academic honor code and / or in the authenticity of the applicants documents. Those who have graduated shall have their diploma revoked. 6. During the pursuit of degree, while a student is testified as a HIV-positive, by law, the university shall notify the Ministry of Foreign Affair or the Ministry of the Interior to revoke or annul his / her visas or permits of stay or residence, and order him / her to be deported. 7. According to the regulations, students who apply for a resident visa must submit a medical report including the vaccination certificates of Measles and Rubella or their positive antibody titers. 8.4 When registering, new international students must attach medical and injury insurance policies, which they purchased in foreign countries, covering a valid period of no less than 4 months starting from the day when they entered Taiwan. These foregoing insurance policies purchased in foreign countries must be authenticated by a Taiwan Overseas Mission. 9.  / Scholarship 1 8 4 4 8 Registered international students may apply to the Office of Research and Development for scholarships. According to the Regulations Governing Scholarship Program for Foreign Students at Chaoyang University of Technology, scholarships are divided into 2 categories, as follows: A. For undergraduates: stipends of NT$25,000 per semester will be provided to each recipient. Scholarships are limited to one application per semester. Students in 4-year programs are limited to a maximum of 8 applications; students attending 2-year programs are limited to a maximum of 4 applications. B. For graduates: students can request that tuition or course fees be waived by applying to be an assistant for promoting multi-cultural exchange. There is a maximum limit of 4 scholarship applications available for Masters candidates and 8 applications for Ph.D. candidates. International students can also apply for the Taiwan Scholarship offered by the government. Passport and copies of diploma and transcripts, officially verified/sealed by the Taiwan Overseas Mission in the country where the documents were originally issued, should be presented. Admission is subject to cancellation if not registered. 2. Transfer credits from other colleges / universities shall be ruled by the university credit-transfer regulations.
