Pictures and Poems By Lee Walser with Scripture passages quoted from the King James Bible1 2013 Lee Walser Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Pell City, Alabama

1 I used the King James Bible because I know that it's public domain.

In The Beginning

esus comming was foretold

By the Holy men of old Moses and the prophets too Wrote of him to me and you. Jesus maker of the Earth, Word of God before his birth, Son of God eternaly, Was and is and ever shall be. God became a humble man; Lived and died, and lives again; Ascended up to Heaven's throne He shall return to claim his own. Forever shall he riegn as King, And all the world his praises sing

The Immaculate Conception

oly Mary born to be

Mother of eternity. Saved by Christ before her birth, Queen of Heaven and of earth. Concieved without the stain of sin For God's own son to dwell within. Emnity was placed between The serpent and the woman Queen. Behold the Blessed Virgin's face, God has made her full of grace. Sinless Virgin, Holy, true, Our salvation comes through you.

The Annunciation

ail Mary full of grace

Look upon the angel's face, Shining brighter than the sun, Virgin mother of God's son. Mary said "Lord, thy will be. As you've spoken do to me". If we believe, then we will do Whatever God might ask us to, Accepting every pain and shame, All endure for Jesus' name. Mary, mother of the Lord, Teach me to obey his word Mary, mother of us all, Inspire us to give our all.

ary "how shall this be,

since I have no relations with a man?" And the angel said unto her in reply,"the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the most high will overshadow you. There fore the child to be born will be called Holy, the Son of God.

The Visitation

lizabeth The Prophet's Mom

Bowed Down When She Saw Mary Come, And Asked Our Mother "who Am I, That My Lord's Mother Should Come Nigh?" Mary Said "Embrace Your Fate, The Lord Regerds Our Low Estate. He Puts The Strong And Proud To Shame, So Let Us Humbly Praise His Name." Elizabeth Said Blessed Are You Among All Women This Is True" Our Mother Said "each Generation Will Call Me Blessed In Every Nation For What The Lord Has Done In Me Exalting Me Eternaly". And Unborn Children, Life Unseen, Rejoice And Praise The Holy Queen.

Joseph's Dream

oseph, her husband,

since he was a righteous man, yet unwiling to expose her to shame, decied to divorce her quietly. Such was his intention when behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said,"Joseph, Son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child is concieved in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from thier sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the Prophet: "Behold, the Virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel," which means "God with us." When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.

The Journey To Bethlehem

n those days a decree went out

from Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be enrolled...So all went to be enrolled, each to his own town. And Joseph too went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David that is called bethlehem. Because he was of the house of the family of David, to be enrolled with Mary his betrothed, who was with child.

There Was No Room

hile they were there,

the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wraped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

From The Fields

ammuel asked Jesse.

"Are These all the sons you have?" Jesse replied,"There is still the youngest, who is tending the sheep." Samuel said to Jesse, "send for him; we will not begin the sacrificial banquet until he arrivews." Jesse sent and had the young man brought to them.

The Birth Of Christ

esus from the Virgin born!

Gabriel come and blow your horn! Baby Jesus on the hay, Shepherds worship him today. This sign was given for our eyes, It's seen by all the truely wise: Jesus in the manger lay, Not just on but as the hay, And cattle are the men of God, Who eat his flesh and drink his blood.

The Holy Family

oly family pray for mine

On my home may your light shine Give us love that all endures To make my family just like yours. Father hears the word of God, And protects his wife and Son. Mother hears the word of God, And gives herself in perfect love. The Son obeys the word of God, And for us he shed his blood. God above invisibly Made an image we can see; Home of God this family, Image of the Trinity. A sign from God for you and me, A perfect love community.

The Circumcision Of The Lord

hen 8 days were completeed

for his circumcision, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

The Presentation

n the Temple Christ was Blessed.

Simeon his Lord confessed. Seeing God with his own eye, In peace he knew that he could die. Then he began to prophesy; Some would fall and some would rise, Many speaking against his word And Mary's heart pearced with a sword, That all our hearts may be revealed, And by his power all be healed. Anna praying day and night Fasting too to see the light, Beholding Christ at once she knew, This was the God that she prayed to. All who seek the Lord will see As Christ has promised graciously.

The Epiphany

ise men following a star

Came to Jesus from afar, Scriptures visions signs and dreams, From all creation meaning streams. Visitations wonders too, In some way God is calling you. All who listen hear his voice, But listening is our choice. God reveals his will to all With ears to hear the master's call. The truth, that God will show to us May not be what you thought it was. Some looked for a mighty King Not Christ a babe, this tiny thing. Some seek only God above, Not Christ who died to show his love. Some seek a King to rule the nations; His Church doesn't meet their expectations, What God reveals we must believe, For only faithful hearts recieve.

The Slaughter Of The Innocents

n a dream an angel said,

"Joseph get up out of bed. Take the child and Virgin too Down to Egypt's land with you." Then the dragon on rampage, Herod proud and full of rage, Spilled out blood upon the earth In the town of Jesus' birth. Soldiers stormed into the town, And cut the helpless children down; And mothers in their nightmares cried "God why have all the babies died?' It's truth that no one can deny That all those born of woman die, But then the judgement comes on sin, And innocents will live again. It isn't God but sinful man That sheds the blood of little lambs.

Idols Fall

n the land of pyramids.

Jesus Christ is sfely hid. But even here so far away The Lord, our God has things to say And signs are given in the land To show that Christ is God's own hand. Stone idols fall when they come near, The Virgin and the child so dear. We know that honored abraham Did wonders down in Egypt's land, And Jacob's son and Moses too God sent down to Egypt, true. And after Christ, Apostles came To preach the word in Jesus' name Egypt our world represents, And into Egypt we are sent. "as I was sent so I send you" Not out of Egypt but into. May we who are in Israel Let Egypt know the hope we feel.

The Finding In The Temple

esus in Jerusalem

Where his parents had left him. They though that Jesus was with them, So they went off without him. Like so many souls today Who just like sheep have lost their way, They looked for Jesus everywhere, In every street; he wasn't there. Why go looking all about? We's always in his Father's house; In the Temple Jesus taught Things the wise men never thought. And rabbis bowed and listened to A child of only ten and two. Mary cried and tried to find Her son whom she had left behind. For three sad days the Virgin cried For the son she couldn't find. Now at last she has no fears. Jesus wipes away her tears.

Jesus Grows

nchanging God was born and grew

Transformed by time like me and you, But God is, was, and ever shall be, He is not changed like you and me. Eternal moments are not past. What was still is and ever shall last. So Christ was born, an infant still, And Christ our Savior, sins still kill. The resurrection's with us now Though mortal minds cannot say how. So Jesus lived and Jesus grew. The things he learned to him were new. The God of all authority Obeyed his Mother just like me, And driving nails and sawing wood, Worked for his Father, as sons should. A peaceful life or work and love Now waits in Heaven up above. If God of power we would know. In humble service we must grow.

Elijah Must Come First

he greatest Prophet of them all

Elijah heard the Fathers call. He held back rain in all the land, And fire fell at his command. Taken up into the sky, The honored Prophet didn't die, And prophets said he'd come again To make way for the Son of Man. From a barren womb was born The one sent down to sound the horn. As John the Baptist known to some, "This is Elias who was to come."

The Preaching Of John

ohn announced the Gospel news

Unfit to even tie Christs shoes. John, by Jordan preached "repent! For our Messiah has been sent. The Kingdom of the Lords at hand And those who wont hear His command He'll cut down and cast in the flame That burns eternal as his name. If you believe, no need to mourn, Into the Kingdom be reborn. Baptism is the only way. Repent and be Baptized today. If you the grace of God would seek, Do good not evil, help the weak. Learn to live with less not more, And give your wealth to help the poor. Don't lie or steal. Confess your sin, And then our God will draw you in. I Baptize with water true, But Christ with fire will Baptize you.

The Baptism Of Christ

esus went to John to be

Baptized just like you and me, But John said"master i must be Baptized by you, not you by me". Jesus said that God had willed This "so all might be fulfilled". The King of course is born into The Kingdom he is born to rule. So Christ went down into his death And rose again to draw new breath. The Holy Spirit as a dove Anointed Jesus from above. Then John's disciples gathered round Heard the voice like thunder sound, "Beloved Son you are to me. In thee alone am I well pleased. This day have Ibegotten thee To be my only true high priest. Like Melkesidech to give He bread and wine, so men might live."

The First Temptation

esus on the mountain high

Tempted by the devil's lie. Satan said "turn stone to bread". But that's not what our savior did. Christ with wisdom plainly saw That bread is blessing, stone is law. Man needs law and blessing too. "All God says is good for you."

The Second Temptation

atan at the Temple's top

Said to Christ "let go and drop. Let the angels set you down; And everybody standing round Will worship you and give their love, Because you came down from above. Everyone whose mind is wise Belives what he sees with his eyes. So if they saw you from the sky, That you're the Lord they'd not deny." But Jesus said "They tempt the Lord, Because they don't believe his word. If from the Lord they want a show, Then the truth they'll never know. God's given quite enough to see. If they won't look they won't believe.

The Third Temptation

atan said,"men's hearts are mine

And many folk get on just fine. Good and evil both I know. All men judge by me, and so If you'll do what I say to Then all the world I'll give to you. If you want men to be your friend, Then no one into hell you'll send. Abolish death and let men do Whatever their hearts lead them to. Do good not evil, help the weak And listen to us when we speak. Don't let disasters wreck our home. And lead the Jews to drive out Rome. Be the hero that we need, And satisfy our earthly greed." But Christ said "Satan you're a fool! To call on God to bow to you. No matter what the world might give, Serve the Lord, so you might live. Evil all must be destroyed, So truth and justice unalloyed, In peace may serve the Lord alone. All bow before his sacred throne." Satan fled from what he heard. Christ triumphant by his word.

Calling The First Disciples

esus, walking by the sea of gallilee

saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen. He said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed Him.

The First Sign

t a wedding in Canna town

The Spirit of the Lord came down. Our Mother told us we should do Whatever Jesus tells us to. Then all we need he will supply, If we believe we'll never die. As Moses turned the Nile to blood, When he proclaimed the word of God. So Christ turns water into wine, The same thing done a second time. For bread and wine are really God Bread his body wine his blood. Egypt drank the wrath of God, But now God blesses with his blood.

Preaching To Multitudes

esus preached by Galilee

And multitudes all flocked to see. People from Jerusalem And beyond Jordan came to Him. Men from Tyre and Sidon Came to listen to God's Son. Then believing what they heard They too were made whole by his word.

Fishers Of Men

esus said "Let your nets down

Simon wore a weary frown. "we've been fishing here all day, But we will do just as you say." They dropped their nets beside the boat And caught more fish than it could float. Peter said "depart from me. I'm sinful as a man can be." But Jesus Christ forgave his sin And sent him out to fish for men.

The Sermon On The Mount

he meek the poor the hungry to

Those persecuted for the truth, These are who Christ calls his friends; Not the wise and mighty men, But simple folk both poor and mild Who take what's given like child, Who suffer but do not resist, But in their peacful work persist. Bless those who do harm to you. That's what Jesus said to do; For if we love then we'll forgive, And God will save us. We will live. Take no thought for life on Earth, But seek the Kingdom of your birth. Trust the Lord to care for you. He feeds the birds and flowers too. If you will give your life for me I'll give you life eternaly. But what good would the world do you, If your own soul is lost to you? If you will trust, and take my hand, Upon the solid rock you'll stand; But if you will not take my hand, Your world will crash upon the sand.

Founding The Church

Apostles Christ did choose

(He knew which one he'd have to lose) Power he gave all of them To cast out devils and heal men, Thus the Kingdom did begin With power given unto men. "Not to all the world, just yet But to the lost sheep you are sent. Proclaim,'the Kingdom is at hand,' And so that all might understand, Do mighty works for all to see Then they will know you come from me. Know that you will suffer too. If they cursed me, then they'll curse you. Fear not men, though men might kill, But fear the one who sends to hell. Do not think that I bring peace For men will hate the word you preach, And families will be torn in two. Love not your mother, love the truth. Reject the world if you believe; Take up your cross and follow Me. Who receives you, receives Me, And I'll reward those who believe.

The Apostles

imon, PETER is the stone

That Jesus built his Church upon. JOHN was Jesus' closest friend Who stayed with him until the end. JAMES, the elder brother of John He and John were thunder's sons. ANDREW, Peter's brother who Lead some to Christ, as we should too. PHILIP read of Jesus' love Which law and prophets told him of NATHAN prayed benieth a tree All alone, but Christ could see. THOMAS is my favorite one For in his doubt my faith begun MATTHEW was a publican Who left his job for God's own son. SIMON was a zeolot who With love for Rome was born anew. JAMES and THADIUS hardly shown. If not for Christ, they'd be unknown And JUDAS who betrayed the Lord Thirty silver his reward.

Preaching With Power

Jesus preached in all the land

"repent! The Kingdom is at hand!" And people came to hear his word, For nothing like it had been heard. He did not preach like Pharisees, but as one with authority; And power did the Lord display By casting demons all away. Lepers did our savior cure To show his power to make pure. So great did the Lord's fame grow to desert lands he had to go, for everywhere he showed his face The crowds would press upon that place.

Power To Forgive Sins

A crippled man could not get through

To see the Lord. What could he do? The roof was torn, the man le down, Suprising those who stood around. The paralytic man believed And so forgiveness he received. The Pharisees all burned within. "only God can forgive sin!" "what you said of course is true And only God could heal him too. Believe because of what i do... Rise up and walk i say to you!" The man got up and walked away. What more could the critics say?

Lord Of The Sabbath

was passing through a field of

grain on the Sabbath. His disciples began to make a path while picking The heads of grain. At this the Pharisees said to him, "look, Why are they doing what is unlawful on the sabbath?" He said to them,"have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions were hungry? How he went into the house of God when Abiathar was high priest and ate the bread of offering that only The priest could lawfuly eat, and shared it with his companions?" Then he said to them, "the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. That is why the Son of Man is Lord even of the sabbath."

Healing On The Sabbath

Again he entered the synagogue. There

was a man There who had a withered hand. They watched him closely To see if he would cure him on the sabbath so that they Might accuse him. He said to the man with the withered Hand,"come up here before us." Then he said to them,"is it Lawful to do good on the sabbath rather than to do evil, To save life rather than to destroy it?" But they Remained silent. Looking around at them with anger and Grieved at their hardness of heart, he said to the man, Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out and his hand Was restored. The Pharisees went out and immediatly Took councel with the Herodians against him to put him To death.

Lord I Am Not Worthy

centurion there had a slave who was ill and about

to die, and he was valuable to him. When he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and save the life of his slave. They aproached Jesus and strongly urged him saying,"he deserves to have you do this for him, for he loves our nation and he built a synogogue for us." And Jesus went with them, but when he was only a short distance from the house, the centurion sent friends to tell him,"Lord I Am not worthy to have you enter under my roof. Therefore, I did not concider myself worthy to come to you; but say the word and let my servant be healed. For I too am a person subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, 'go,' and he goes; and to another 'come here' and he comes; and to my slave 'do this' and he does it." When Jesus heard this he was amazed at him and, turning, said to the crowd following him,"I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith." When the messengers returned to the house, they found the slave in good health.

Who Will Judge

The Pharisees to Jesus brought

A woman in adultry caught. "the law," they said "says stone her true? But, master, what do you say do?" Jesus scribbled in the dirt. He hated all their evil works. Then Jesus said "the law is clear, But which of you has kept it here? Let him without sin of his own Be the first to cast a stone." One by one thry went away Jesus and the woman stayed. He told her "go, and sin no more." So she her savior did adore.

ord! Wake up!"Disciples Prayed

The raging storm made them afraid.

eace, be still" the savior said

And right away the storm clouds fled.

Casting Out Devils

hen He came ashore

a man from the town who was possesed by demons met Him. For a long time he had not worn clothes; he did not live in a house, but lived among the tombs. When he saw Jesus he cried out and fell down before him; in a loud voice he shouted "what have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I beg you not to torment me!" For he had ordered the unclean spirit to come out of the man. (it had taken hold of him many times, and he used to be bound with chains and shackles as a restraint, but he would break his bonds and be driven by the demon into deserted places) Then Jesus asked him,"what is your name?" He replied "Legion," because many demons had entered him. and they pleaded with him not to order them to depart into the abyss. A herd of swine was feeding there on the hillside, and they pleaded with him to allow them to enter those swine; and he let them. The demons came out of the man and entered the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.

Who Touched Me?

esus stopped. "Who touched my clothes?"

They looked around, "nobody knows. Look at this crowd that's pressing in. We can't know who it might have been." But Jesus turned and went back to The one who touched him for he knew. Suffering with many tears She had been bleeding all these years. She spent her wealth on doctors who Had nothing helpful they could do. But still in hope she did endure, And now she knew she'd have a cure. If she could only touch his clothes, She knew that she would be made whole. "Blessed daughter, go your way, Your faith has made you whole today."

Jarius' Daughter

esus, help my daughter who

Is near to death. Lord I need you." With compassion Christ did go To see the girl who suffered so. A servant met them on the way, "don't bother now. She's passed away." But Jesus said "you needn't weep. She isn't dead, but just asleep." For only those in hell are dead; Thr righteous sleep, as Jesus said. So Christ has power to wake the "dead". "talitha cum",Jesus said. The little girl got up and ate. The Lord our God is never late.

A Little Extra Effort

hey asked the Lord to touch this man.

And Jesus took him by the hand. Jesus led him from that place And laid his hands upon his face. Christ spit in the blind man's eyes Then looking up into the sky He saw a bit but not clearly And other people looked like trees, Then our savior once again Placed his hand upon the man, And now the man saw all things right. Our Lord had given him his sight. The Lord our God's prepaired to do Whatever is needed to help you.

A Secret Visitor

icodemus, a Pharisee

Went to the Lord in secrecy. "No man van do the things you do Except the Lord be with him true." Christ said,"you must be born again." "but how shall i be born again? How can one whos old be born?" "From water and the spirit born. The wind blows where it wants to go. And where it is no man can know. And so are those born from above, Transformed by our saviors love. No man rises up to God Unless he came down from above. God's own sonhas come to man, And so must be raised up again. As Moses raised the serpent up, So must Christ be lifted up. And when I'm raised for all to see I'll draw all people unto me." For God so loved the world, he gave His only son, the world to save. And whosoever will believe Eternal life he shall receive.

The Widow's Son

funeral was passing by

And Jesus saw the widow cry. With love he said to her "don't weep." Her son was not dead but asleep. Then Jesus told the boy to rise. At once he opened up his eyes. He spoke out loud for all to hear. The people knew that God was near.

John Was Tempted In Prison

as Jesus really God's own son,

Or should we seek another one? John the baptist had to know. The question preyed on him, and so He sent some friends to ask the Lord The question that wont be ignored. And Jesus said,"you go tell John What you've seen that i have done; The blind can see, the lame can walk, The deaf can hear, the dumb can talk, And good news all the poor recieve. Tell this to John, and he'll believe. Not what you read or what you heard, But as a witness spread my word. You know the things i say are true, Because you've seen the things i do. And others can believe in you, Because they'll know you doubted too." Jesus healed the blind and lame, And his Apostles did the same, But greater works than these we do When we proclaim the Gospel news.

The Woman At The Well

esus said "give me a drink."

The woman asked "what do you think? I'm a samaritan not a Jew, Not someone you should speak to." But Jesus said "oh! If you knew just whom you were speaking to, Then you would ask for drink from me, And living water i'd give free." Jesus told her who she was He knows what everybody does. She saw he was a Prophet so She asked hi where our prayers should go "this mountain or Jerusalem? Just tell me where we should send them?" "not this mountain or that town In spirit and truth the fathers found God seeks those that seek the truth; Seek the spirit he'll seek you." Then disciples came from town To share some food that they had found. But Jesus said "I've had my fill Because I've done my Father's will. In the Kingdom it's harvest time Not once a year but all the time.

Forgiveness And Love

Pharisee wanted to see

If Jesus might a Prophet be, So he invited Jesus to His house to have a word or two. But as they sat a girl came near Who washed the Lord's feet with her tears, And simonthought,"no Prophet he, Or else he'd know just who is she. No Prophet would let her come near, So he's no Prophet. That is clear." But Jesus asked,"who loveth more, The one forgiven little or The one forgiven much at once?" The answers clear to any dunce. "you kissed me not nor washed my feet, But look at her! With love so sweet, She pours out love so mightily For she's forgiven totally."

The Pool Of Bethesda

crippled man had waited here

Beside the pool for many years But he had not the strength to move And no one there to help him to So every time the angel came Another person healing claimed. "rise up and walk, take up your bed. Rise up and walk," our savior said.

Hear Me And Be Blessed

ary sat beside the Lord

And listened to his every word. Martha rushed to serve her guests, Frustrated but she did her best. "Lord, make Mary come help me. Why does she sit down at your knee? There's still so much left to be done, But here she sits while i must run." "martha, martha, What matters more: what you must do Or what I've come to offer you? The words i give are life to you, And i will tell you what to do, And if you'll hear the things i say Then none can take that gift away" All the things that must be done God blesses if you'll hear his Son.

Our Father

hey asked our Lord "Teach us to pray."

And Jesus said to pray this way: Our Father who art in Heaven above Hallowed be thy name which we love. Thy eternal Kingdom come In Heaven and earth thy will be done. Give us the bread we need this day And Father take our sins away. Forgive us as we forgive those who Hurt us the way that we hurt you. In all our temptations make a way And free us from evil Lord we pray. Thine is the Kingdom that ever shall be With power and glory eternally

Luke 11:5-10

sleeping friend will rise again

To share his bread, the Son of Man. This our savior said was true. Cry out to Saints, they'll pray for you. Ask and God will give to you Knock, he'll open this is true. Seek and find, for that's the way Christ our Lord taught us to pray.

Calling Good Evil, & Evil Good

ll the crowd was astounded

and said,"could this Perhaps be the Son Of David?" But when the Pharisees heard this, they said,"this man drives out demons only by the power of beelzaebul, the prince of demons."... "Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against The Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. Either declare the tree good and it's fruit good, or Declare the tree poison and it's fruit poison, for a tree is known by it's fruit.

esus hid the truth real well

In parables that he would tell. Symbolic language he would speak To teach all those, who truth would seek. In secret he revealed it all To those who hear the masters call. Everything that's now concealed Will in the Kingdom be revealed. "Ask"he said,"and I will give, Recieve the truth that you might live." "seek,"he said"and you will find." Sight is given to the blind. "Knock, the door will open too. Your Father God will welcome you." So in the Catholic Church today Jesus gives his truth away. But those outside will not percieve Because the truth they wont believe. Why are you looking all about? He's always in his Father's house.

Blessed Obedience

woman cried out,"Blessed be

The womb that granted life to thee! And to the breasts that nourished thee Again I cry out Blessed be!" But Christ said "Blessed are those who do All the Father asks them to" Life comes not from mothers, no. From God we come to God we go. For death is with us from the womb. The Father saves us from the tomb. And only those born From above Will live to know the Father's love. Bless our mother for she has done The will of God the giving one. All she gives she first was given, And her gift goes back to Heaven. Our mother said "Lord, thy will be. As you've spoken do to me" And Blessed are all her children too Who keep the words Christ gave to you. Blessed, not for the things we give, But for obedience sains will live.

He Will Come Again To Judge The Living & The Dead

n that day, the Son of Man

Sends forth angels at his command. These angels comming at the end Will gather all those that offend. The weeds are gathered up and burned. Evil gets what it has earned. Then the righteous shall shine forth In the Kingdom of their birth.

A Revelation

he spirit of the Lord is upon me,

because he has Anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppresses go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord... Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing."

Rejection In Nazareth

n Nazareth they couldn't see

What's plane as day to you and me. God's own son was sent to them, And blindly they rejected him. "how could someone we can se Be more than what he seems to be? And since we've seen him every day He can't have something new to say. For if there is something of use Right here with us, we've no excuse. From long ago and far away We love to hear what people say, But those right here with us today Are cons and fakes, send them away! And how could something new be said? The whole world knows God's word is dead." So since a new thing had been heard, They tried to murder God's own word. They took him to a cliff to die, But Jesus safely walked right by, Our Lord has hid eternity From eyes of men like you and me, And asks how anything could be Nothing more than what we see.

The Prophet Like Moses

hink not that I will accuse

Moses wrote God's law to you. The Son of Man you'd have received If Moses first you had believed; For Moses truely wrote of me, And what you've seen he longed to see.

Feeding The Multitude

esus fed a multitude

With a tiny bit of food. He Blessed and broke the bread and meat. Then his disciples gave to eat. Five loves of bread two tiny fish, But eveybody filled his dish, Jesus waited 3 long days Before he Blessed them in this way. Some no doubt had gone away But Jesus Blessed the ones who stayed For those who stay until the end Are all who ever enter in. The bread is Jesus, fish is us. The bread came back, he fish was lost. And if we give God's word away, We lose ourselves in what we say. And what we give comes back to us So all is gained and nothing lost.

Walking On Water

esus walked upon the sea

Peter cried out,"call to me So i can walk out there to you. That's something i would love to do!" So Jesus called out,"Peter, come," And Peter walked on water some, But took his eyes off Christ to see, Then Peter fell into the sea. He cried out "Jesus, help me please!" So Jesus saved him patiently. When the Lord saw Peter safe. He asked him "Peter, where's your faith?" In the boat he felt secure, And Christ's return was also shure, But on the sea he walked alone, Till Jesus lead him to the boat.

A Small Laugh

eter, sinking like a stone

Sometimes Jesus' humor is shown.

Remember that Peter means rock

Unwashed Hands

o the Pharisees and scribes

questioned him,"why do Your disciples not follow the tradition of the elders but Instead eat a meal with unclean hands?" He responded,"Well did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites, as it is written: "This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines human precepts."... He summoned the crowd again and said to them,"Hear me all of you, and understand. Nothing that enters one from outside can defile a person; but the things that come from within are what defile."

A Gentile dog

gentile woman comming nigh

Said,"bless my daughter lest she die But Jesus said,"the dogs must wait Until the children fill their plate." The woman cried,"the dogs may feast On what the children drop at least." And Jesus said "for what you say, I've healed your daughter. Go your way." Remember once we all were dogs, And Jews the children Jesus called. Now Baptized we're children too, And Jesus calls to me and you. Love each other as Christ loved you. Our Christian family and others too, Give to all who ask of you, That's what Jesus said to do.

The Stone The Builders Rejected

hen your fathers heard God say

"hear my voice; hear what i say And do the things i tell you to And all the earth I'll give to you." They trembled they were so afraid And threw this Blessed law away. "Lord," they cried,"give us a choice! Dont make us listen to your voice Just let Moses talk to you And we'll do all that he says do." But the stone they cast away Is our corner stone today And in the Church God's voice you hear The mystery at last made clear. "who hears you, in you hears me And the Father who sent me. Who wont hear you will not hear me, Nor the Father who sent me. And those who wont the Church obey, As heathen men send them away. If you'll be broken on this stone, God will raise you as his own. But if your heart will not be broken This stone will crush you. God has spoken!"

The Keys To The Kingdom

ell me what the people say,

Who am I?" Asked Christ one day. And then the Lord asked all of them "Who is it you say I Am?" Then simon said "the anointed one! You are the Christ, you're God's own son!" And Jesus said "you have not hear From flesh, oh no, but God's own word. And you'll be Peter from now on; The stone I'll build my Church upon. And in your hands I'll place he keys To bind and loose all things for me. This Church, my Kingdom, will prevail Against the very gates of hell." But then Christ said his death was near, And his Apostles wouldn't hear. Peter said "it shall not be." But Christ said "satan, get behind me!" Peter wasn't there yet, no. Simon still had far to grow.

The Saints Help Jesus

eter, James and John all saw

Christ transfigured before them all. His face shown forth a Holy light, And his garments all turned white. Then Moses and Elijah came. These Saints of old to lift Christ's name; Just as Saints will help us too, What God gave them they'll give to you. So law and Prophet's gave thier strength. To help our savior go the length, For in his human weakness he Had need of help, like you and me. This faint hint of glory to come Gave zeal to face the pain to come. Peter said "I'll build tents for you And Moses and Elijah too." But then a white and shining cloud Obscured the scene, and a voice real loud Said "this is son, now hear him." And Christ alone did speak to them. Again the Lord did prophesy That very soon he'd have to die.

The Mustard Seed

esus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of

him: the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said,"Why could we not cast Him out?" Jesus said unto them,"because of your unbelief: for Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting

I Am The Resurection

azarus was Jesus' friend

But his life came to an end. In sorrow both his sisters cried, "If you'd been here, he'd not have died." Jesus said "he'll live again." They thought that he meant at the end. "your hope's not high or far away. I'm right here now with you today. Believe in me that you might live. The resurection's mine to give. For I Am life, my word is true. You'll never die, if I'm in you." The tomb was opened at his word, And Lazarus his savior heard. "Lazarus, come forth" he said. And Lazarus rose from the dead. He came forth bound from head to toe, And Christ said,"loose him, let him go."

Expensive Oil

ary stood by Jesus' chair

And poured out oil upon his hair. But others couldn't see the light, And said out loud,"this can't be right! Shouldn't all the poor be fed Ere oil is waisted on his head?!" Jesus said what they all knew, "the poor are always here with you"; Then he said what should be clear, "but now my time is drawing near. And Mary does the best she can By honoring the Son of Man. She listened to to the Father's call And readied me for burial. So everywhere men preach my word Her story also will be heard, For here and now she's all alone In seeing me upon my throne." So ask this Saint to pray with you That you might hope to see it too.

How God Provides

esus payed the tax one day

But asked whose children have to pay. The children of the King are free, And in the Kingdom so are we; For Jesus made the sons of men Into sons of God like him. "buy without money for all is free, And riches you may buy from me. Go cast your net into the sea; Pull out a fish bring it to me." In it's mouth a coin to pay The tax that men demand today. So Jesus showed how priests should live From the gifts the people give; For Christ made Peter fish for men, And Christians are what he pulls in.

Like A Child

isciples came unto Jesus saying

"who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?" And Jesus called a little child unto him and set him in the midst of them, and said,"verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Whosoever Therefor shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. And whoso shall recieve one such child in my name recieveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it were beter for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea... Take heed that ye dispise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that in Heaven thier angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in Heaven.

A Share Of Glory

hey said unto him,

"grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand and the other on thy left hand, in thy Glory. But Jesus said unto them,"ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be Baptized with The Baptism that I Am Baptized with?" And they said unto him,"we can." And Jesus said unto them,"ye shall indeed drink of the cup that i drink of; and with the Baptism that I Am Baptized withal shall ye be Baptized: but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but for whom it is prepared

acchaeus was a publican

A rich and sinful little man, Who saw in Christ the only way, The one to take his sins away. The little man could not get through The crowd but he knew what to do. Zacchaeus climbed up in a tree, Above the crowd so he could see. So he was hanging in a tree Just as Jesus soon would be. He took up his cross this way, And saw the Lord from far away. So Christ called out to Zacchaeus As from his tree he calls to us. "Come with me, I'll dine with you" He still calls out to me and you. And when at table they sat down, Zacchaeus turned his lif around

Hosanna To The Son Of David

ur King upon a white donkey

Riding to his victory! The King of kings now comes this way! "hosanna!" Here the people say. The son of david ! Come and see, And shout out to him "Blessed be" To him that cometh in the name Of God, hosannah we proclaim! The King has come to judge at last Our years of waiting now have past. Our King shall see just what we do, And his reward is with him too.

Praises Will Be Sung

he Pharisees said "this is wrong

Why do you let them sing this song?" But Christ said,"this song will be sung And if these should hold thier tongue, The rocks here laying all around Would sing out with a louder sound.' When Christ returns which will it be? The sound of rocks, or you and me?

Cleansing The Temple

n the Temple vile parade;

The merchant's wares were all displayed; And money changers bought and sold Temple silver and roman gold. Then Jesus flew into a rage! He opened every animal's cage, And as the beasts ran all around, Jesus beat the merchants down! With a punnishing whip in hand The gentle shepherd took command. He poured the money on the ground, And and kicked the merchants all around; He beat them down out in the street, And then the Lord began to speak. "my house shall be a house of prayer, Not just a place like anywhere But you have let the thieves move in And turn it to a house of sin!"

Ceasar's Money

hey asked him saying,"master,

we know thou sayest and teachest rightly, niether accepting thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truely: is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar or no?" But he perceived thier craftiness and said unto them,"Why tempt ye me? Shew me a penny. Who's immage and super superscription hath it?" They answered and said,"Caesars." And he said unto them,"Render therefor unto caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's." They could not take hold of his words before the people; and held thier peace.

Moses And The Resurection

hen they shall rise from the dead,

they niether mary nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in Heaven. And as touching the dead, that they rise have; have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him saying,"I Am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.

The Greatest Commandment

ear, O Israel;

The Lord our God is one Lord: and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy soul and all thy mind, and all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is non other commandment greater than these. Beloved let us love one another, for love is of God and everyone that lovetheth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God for God is love.

f hypocrites did Jesus speak

Who's pride is strong but souls are weak. In synogogs they always seek The uppermost and honored seats. They're always looking down thier nose. They wear big tassles on thier cloathes, With wide phylacteries to be seen. They wipe the outside nice and clean. Just hear them pray,"i thank thee so, That I'm not like that other joe." And when at charity they play And some small sum they toss away, In loudest voice they shout to say, "I've done my good deed for the day!" The people say,"they look so pure, That God must honor them for sure." But Jesus cursed them with his word He said,"they have thier reward."

Woe To You Scribes & Pharisees

Jesus said the Pharisees

Have set themselves in Moses' seat, Therefor all they preach to you, You must hear and you must do. But beware do not thier deeds, They do not practice what they preach. They will not hear the voice of God, And bar the way to those who would. Benieth traditions, grand and tall, They've burried God and all his law. Woe to all you Pharisees! You hypocrites and lieing thieves. You curse your parrents, lie and steel And act just any way you feel, Then give a pitance to the Lord, And think you satisfy his word. You pay a tithe of dill and spice, But love and mercy would be nice; Instead of taking from the poor By claiming God needs more and more. You say if you had lived back then You'd not have joined your Father's sin, But Prophets have your fathers slain, And Truth you persecute again. The Prophets I will send to you You'll kill and torture, this is true. So all the righteous blood that's shed In all the earth be on your head!

Luke 12:42-48

hose who knew and obeyed the son,

To those the Lord will say,"well done My good and faithful servant. See The reward that waits for thee. Many stripes will they recieve, Who knew but still did not believe. In outer darkness they will cry For goodness did thier lives deny. Those who did not know God's will For evil deeds are punished still, But few stripes will they recieve, If they had known they'd have believed. In purgatory theywill pay But thier torment will end one day. Once they are purged, then they will see The face of God, eternally.

The Widow's Penny

he widow gave a tiny bit

And most did not think much of it. But Jesus said that what she gave, Was more than all the rich men gave. The rich men gave what they could spare And still they had more than thier share, But this widow, she was brave; All she had was what she gave. She did not give it to be seen But with hands and heart both clean. And what she gave, with faith and love, Was seen by God from up above, And now with nothing left to eat, She went back out into the street.

Destruction Of The Temple And The End Of All

isciples spoke with reverent awe

"behold the Temple grand and tall." But Christ said,"it shall be cast down, The highest stone laid on the ground." "when will this happen? What shall we see, When the end of all shall be?" "beware deceptions, many will come, False messiahs fooling some, And wars and earthquakes, famines too, All these things will come it's true. You my Church will suffer for, The world will hate you more and more. When the tribulations done, There'll be no light from moon or sun, The Son of Man will come again, To take his people home with him. This generation shall not pass Till all these things have come to pass, But when it comes no man can say, So be faithful, watch and pray."

Death To Jesus

nd now, the priests began to plan,

To plot against the Son of Man. "All we have, we owe to Rome. By thier consent, we rule our home; And Rome will never tolerate An independant Jewish state, But people call this Jesus,"King". When Pilate hears of such a thing. He'll bring the legions down on us, And all we have will soon be lost." "let him die!" Said Caiaphas. "you see, it's better him than us. When Jesus Christ is dead and gone, We priests will live in peace with Rome."

Believe Because Of My Works

any good works have I shown you,

from my Father: for which of those works do you stone me?" The Jews answered him, saying,"for good works we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou being a man, makest thyself God." Jesus answered them,"is it not written in your law, "I said ye are gods?" If he called them gods , unto whom the Word of God came, and the Scripture cannot be broken;say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, thou blasphemest; because I said, I Am the Son of God? If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

Washing The Discipel's Feet

esus laid his clothes aside

And showed us how to break our pride. The Lord and master, on his knees, Began to wash disciples' feet. But Peter said,"how can this be? My Lord shall never wash my feet." But Jesus said ,"i must wash thee, Or else you have no life in me." Then Peter said,"not just my feet, But wash my head and all of me." "no,"Jesus said,"who has been cleaned Only needs to wash his feet," When he was done, he took his seat And said,"if i have washed your feet, Then you should wash each other too. As i have done, so you must do. The servant is not greater than The master,"Christ said;"niether can The one who's sent be more than he Who sent him. look and see" And so God's priests give service to The least of theses; that's me and you.

The Betrayer

esus said,"The traitor who

Betrays his Lord is one of you." So each of them asked,"Is it I?" And some of them began to cry, For they embraced thier destiny But prayed "dear Lord, dont make it me." The Lord said "this thing must be done. But woe to him through whom it's done." For this one chose what he has done. "better for him if he weren't born." Judas sold his Lord away. 30 silver was his pay.

The Holy Eucharist

hrist gave thanks and Blessed the bread.

"This is my body",Jesus said. Then he Blessed the chalice too; "this is my blood, that's shed for you, To take away all of your sin. Now eat and drink, to live again. You must consume the Son of God. Eat my flesh and drink my blood. I'll live in you and you in me, As one for all eternity. Except you eat the Son of Man, And drink his blood, you never can Recieve the gifts i offer you, Because you have no life in you. My flesh and blood will make you live, And you'll receive the gifts I give.

Peter's Faith

hen Jesus said,"you all shall be

Offended on this night for me." Peter said,"no, I'm with you. I'll give my life, if i have to!" But Jesus said,"oh, Peter, friend Will you indeed stay to the end? Tonight ere twice the cock does crow, Three times will you deny you know The Son of Man, because of fear; For, as I've said, my time is near." Lets learn from Peter and his fall, His failing's common to us all. Instead of saying,"I will do" Say,"Jesus, give me grace to do." God gives grace to me and you. All things in Jesus, we can do. Though on our own we're shure to fall, Still, Christ will catch us if we call. Satan reached for Peter's soul, But Jesus kept him from that goal. For Simon's faith our savior prayed, And so our Rock was Peter made. And Peter's faith strengthens our own. The wise man's house is built on stone.

The Spirit Of Love

new commandment I give to you

To love each other, as I love you; And be united, all as one, That you may be your Father's sons. If I'm in you, and you're in me, Then you shall all be one in me. I'll pray the Father to send to you A comforter, the spirit of truth. If you love me, then you will do The things that I have told you to. My spirit then will live in you, Reminding you of what is true, And teach you all, so you'll believe The things you cannot now receive. No longer servants I call you, But now you are my friends most true; For servants do not know my plans But all I'll tell my closest friends. If you believe, then you will do All the works you've seen me do, And greater works than even these If you will faithfully believe. For, in my name, you shall receive What you may ask, if you believe.

The Holy Spirit Guides The Church

he Holy Spirit guards God's word,

So in the Church it may be heard. Free from errors and from lies The truth for which our savior died. Tradition and the Scripture too Have been passed down to me and you. Apostles, elders/ bishops, priests; The truth comes down to us, the least. Christ gave them authority, To teach the truth to you and me. So if the Church we gladly hear, We know that Jesus Christ is near, But if we fight authority, It's Jesus Christ we wont believe. Oh, Holy Spirit, gift of God, Purchased by our savior's blood; The comforter, whom Christ spoke of, Proceeds from Father and from son; Third person of the trinity, One God for all eternity.

Not My Will But Yours

esus in the garden wept.

James and John and Peter slept. Broken hearted Christ did pray, "Father, take this cup away. Yet, not my will but thine be done." Jesus the obedient son. Christ defeated self for God, Determined now to shed his blood. An angel gave him strength to pray (God do the same for us today) And so he prayed more fervent still; "God give me strength to do your will." And then his sweat became like blood To weakened flesh comes strength from God. Then his disciples he did wake "pray, lest you fall, for you shall shake."

Betrayed And Arrested

esus looked up in the sky

And said "now Father glorify Thy son, just as before my birth, Before we made Heaven and earth." Then the traitor walked right in His kiss to Christ meant "this is him, The one you've come to take away." The soldiers came without delay. "can you betray me with a kiss? Oh! Judas, how could you do this?" For Jesus knew the hearts of men And judas once had been his friend; And Christ had said to him one night "thy name is in the book of life." * But tragicly, he turned about And now his name was blotted out, For those who stay until the end, Are all who ever enter in.

* luke 10:20

The Sword

eter had a sword he drew

He cried out,"Lord, I'll die with you!" He cut a guard's ear right off too, But Jesus said,"what's wrog with you? Put that stupid thing away! And listen now to what i say. When have i told you to kill? Can't you see the Father's will? 12000 angels with flaming swords Would come if i but spoke the words But i must drink what has been poured, Or how could i fulfill his word? Those who live by my word, Must also die by my word!" So away the savior lead, Went just as the prophets said.

The Sanhedrin

esus, in the hight priest's house,

Stood befor great Ciaphus. "are you the Christ, the Son of God?" "I Am." He answered with God's word. "and you shall see yhe Son of Man Raised up in clouds to God's right hand." They tore thier clothes and beat the Lord And wouldn't listen to his word. "to Pilate send this man away. For blasphemy he'll die today."

Who Is It That Struck Thee?

hey lied to bring our Lord disgrace

They slapped and spit upon his face. Though stung at heart by what he heard, In his defence he spoke no word, But silently and set like stone, He was rejected by his own.

Peter's Denial

s Jesus faced accuser's lies

Peter warmed himself outside, And in the crowd he tried to hide So he our Blessed Lord denied. Peter said he didn't know The friend and Lord that he loved so, And as the third time he denied He knew the one on trial inside The Lord himself was brought outside, The rooster crowed, and Peter cried. He looked his Lord right in the eye And what he'd done could not deny. The fear that we still know today Had shaken Peter's faith away, But Peter shed repentant tears And prayed for faith to conquer fears. Lord give us grace to pray the same, So we will not deny thy name. The comforter, whom you will send, Will help us endure to the end.

Pilate's questions

ilate heard the Gospel news

And asked,"are you King of the Jews?" Jesus asked,"who said this thing? Do you or others call me King?" Pilate sneered,"am i Jew? Your own people did this to you. The priests have brought you hear to me. What have you done you silly King.?" "my Kingdom is not of this world, You see no swords or flags unfurled." "you are a King, then?" Pilate said. "you say I Am."our Savior said. "for this, I was born. For this I came That men like you might hear my name I bear witness to God's word The word of truth that you have heard." Then Pilate asked him,"what is truth?" And he went back to tell the Jews. "I can find no fault in him. He's Herod's case. Send Christ to him.

Not Religion Just Noise

erod heard what Christ could do

And hoped that what he heard was true. "I'm a King. I have no need Of saviors come to set me free. Entertainment's all i need. So, Jesus do some tricks for me. We'll have a good time you and me. We'll clap our hands. We'll shout and sing. We'll raise our hands up to the sky, And Jesus, you wont need to die. I'll give you money for the show, Then i won't need you, you can go." Of God he had no hope or fear. He didn't care, and wouldn't hear Any word at all from God. He never knew who Jesus was.

Rebel Yell

t was the passover, and so,

Pilate said,"I'll let him go." But others wanted Jesus dead; "give us Barabus!" They all said. "and what shall i do with the Christ?" "crucify him!" They all cried. Christ, the Savior hadn't come To set the people free from Rome, So they chose a rebel instead. The obedient Son they wanted dead. Rebellion is an aweful sin, A heritage that enslaves men, And for our evil, human pride Jesus Christ our Savior died.

By His Stripes

y our savior's stripes we're healed

In his pain is grace revealed. The whip that made our savior bleed Fell on his back to fill our need. Christ, teach us to be like you, And love in all that we go through. And when your stripes we must receive Lord give us courage to believe. And all in yopu accept with love Till you receive our souls above. Wheather stripes or healing we Receive, my Lord, I do thank thee.

The Crowning With Thorns

ith thorny weeds they made a crown

And on his brow they beat it down. A purple robe upon his back (a gift they gave and then took back) And mocking him, the crowd did sing, "all hail to Jesus, Christ, the King!" Blood ran down upon his face, And none of them perceived the grace With which our Lord received this thing, Crowned the world's eternal King. Thorns came forth through Adam's sin And Jesus wore that crown to win Our redemption from that sin. May Heaven's Kingdom enter in.

The King Of Kings

ilate said,"behold the man."

And showed him to the crowd again, "and just what would you have me do With Jesus Christ King of the Jews?"

His Own Received Him Not

e have no King but ceasar!" They said

The King of kings they wanted dead. So by his own was Christ denied. They called to have him crucified.

Pilate Washes His Hands

ilate failed to stand for truth.

Fear of caesar his excuse. So he stood by and washed his hands. "Let his blood be on your hands." "On us and on our children too!" Cried the leaders of the Jews. But water cannot wash away The stain of sin,the scriptures say. So in the creed we still proclaim it: "He suffered under Pontius Pilate." For he stood by and let them do Exactly what they wanted too. But he's no worse than me and you, When we don't do what we should do. So by his people and the nations God condemned by his creations.

Take Up Your Cross

esus boar the weight of sin

A heavy burden laid on him. Upon his back which had been beat, He boar his cross along the street. And stumbled he beneath the weight, As ever closer to his fate He dragged through mocking crowds in shame. He bought salvation with his pain. Heaven's road is sore to bear And we must die ere we get there. "come take your cross and follow me, If you my Kingdom want to see."

Jesus Falls The First Time

esus fell along the way

As we fall many times each day. When we fall we want to quit, But Jesus would hear none of it. They didn't drag him to the hill. But Christ obeyed the Father's will He didn't say,"it's too heavy." Or ,"this is much too hard for me." He got back up. Our Lord obeyed. The price of sins our savior paid.

Jesus Meets His Mother

esus saw his mother cry.

Her heart was pierced; her soul did die. She saw her baby on his way To give his Holy life away. Not from weakness of belief Were these two torn apart with grief, But for their love they suffered pain. For love they hurt; in love they gain.

Simon Takes Up The Cross

hrist could not go any more

His flesh was broken, tired and sore. If we do all that we can do Help will come to me and you. So they seized a stranger who Now bore the cross for me and you. He didn't want to help the Lord But still this man has his reward: Simon the Cyrenian His name is known by everyone.

Veronica's Kindness

eronica the Blessed Saint

Saw our Lord about to faint. Staring blindly into space, As blood and sweat ran down his face, And as he stumbled on the trail, She whipped his face of with her veil. She comforted as crowds all jeered And on her veil his face appeared. Compassion dose our God reward With the image of the Lord.

Jesus Falls Again

second time our Savior fell.

The pain he bore saved us from hell. Again he struggled to his feet, And continued down the street. Each step satan would attack, Tempting Jesus to turn back, But Christ determined to obey Still continued on his way.

The Women Cry

omen looking on our Lord

Wept for him in one accord. But Jesus said,"don't weep for me It's for yourselves that you should weep. For you and for your children too, For what will happen soon to you. If they've done this when they were Blessed, What will they do when evils press?" Christ did what God told him too, And suffered death for us it's true, But now rewarded Christ does reign. Who dies for God will live again, But those who live in their own will Suffer not for good but ill.

Jesus Falls The Third Time

ushed and pressed our savior fell,

And blows upon his back they fell. Go on a little further still, Suffering to do God's will. Not much longer, Heaven's near, So don't give up have faith not fear. The truth is that there's worse to face, More pain more torture, more disgrace, As Christ draws closer to his death, He longs for just a moment's rest; But whips and curses drive him on. He must go on, he must go on.

Stripped Of His Garments

hey stripped him bare for all to see,

They tried to take his dignity. So clothed in righteousness alone To mocking crowds was Jesus shown. Just like a slave put on display, The lamb who took our sins away. So must we all make our souls bare, And all our sins to God declare, For when we truly do confess, Christ clothes us in righteousness.

Jesus Nailed To His Cross

e set his cross upon the ground,

And then the soldiers laid him down, His beaten back against rough wood, And arms stretched out far as they could; And painfully he clinched his fists As nails were pounded through his wrists. He shed his tears and ground his teeth, A nail was driven through his feet. A sign that hung above his head In latin greek and hebrew read, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews." So all who read could spread the news.

The Brass Serpent

ike the flag of a new nation

Christ our emblem took his station. God's own son came down to man, By men was he raised up again. Raised on high for all to see. "I'll draw all nations unto me." As Moses raised the serpent up, So has Christ been lifted up And all who look to Christ up raised Will from sin and death be saved.

They Cast Lots

t the foot of Jesus' cross,

Somebody won, somebody lost. They took the clothes our savior wore (he wouldn't need them any more.) Then rolled the dice to see who won The robe of God's beloved son. Dieing Christ heard someone say, "I lost, I guess it's not my day." Beloved Jesus always new The evil things that people do, And they're no worse than me and you, Who also know not what we do. Do we care for those who die? Does it touch us when they cry? Do we weep as others bleed, Or reach out to someone in need; Or are our hearts as hard as stone, And care for nothing but our own?

You'll Be With Me

ot alone did Jesus die.

Two others with him crucified, And one said,"if you're God's own son, Why don't you save us mighty one?" The other asked,"have you no shame? Have we not ourselves to blame? But this man innocently dies, Because of other people's lies. Oh, master, when you reign as King, Please do for me one tiny thing: Oh master please remember me." But Jesus said,"you'll be with me. Tonight and for eternity, In paradise, you'll be with me."

At The Cross

hen we eat this bread

And drink this cup We proclaim your death, Lord Jesus, Until you come in glory.

Mother Mary & Brother John

eloved John stayed by his side,

To watch as Christ was crucified. In his heart, John felt the call, And by the cross, stood in for all. And Mary too stood by his side With broken heart, his mother cried. Christ said,"mother behold thy son. Behold thy mother",he said to John. So Christ made Mary mother of all The children who hear the Father's call We give our hearts to Mary too Just as Jesus leads us to; And Mother Mary calms our fears When we go to her with our tears, Just as she was there for John, Who's heart was broken for her son.

We Are Never Alone

e are compassed about with so great a cloud

of witnesses..Ye are come unto mount zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, an Innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and the Church of the firstborn, which are written in Heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of Just men made perfect, and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things than that of able.

Christ Dies On His Cross

hough Christ is God eternally,

He chose to die like you and me. "Eloi, Eloi, Lama Sabachthani?" (My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?) "Father," he cried, for us to hear it. "Into your hands I commend my spirit." And saying this he breathed his last, The mortal life of Christ had passed. And all the world was dark that day, When Christ our savior passed away.

Heart of Jesus

tones broke open, the earth did shake

But Jesus' bones they did not break. They pierced his heart, and out came blood, And water too a gift from God. And when they pierced his sacred heart, The Temple veil was torn apart. No more a Temple made with hands, Now God dwells in the hearts of men. The grace we need did Jesus earn, That we might die in our turn. Then he who shed the savior's blood Said,"shurely he was the Son of God."

Christ Is Taken Down From His Cross

oseph of Aramathaea,

An honorable councellor, which also waited for the Kingdom of God, came and went boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus. And Pilate marveled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked wheather he had been any while dead. And when he knew it, of the Centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

Love Endures Death

ary held her little boy

Who always brought her so much joy, She kissed his wounds and whiped his tears, As she had done for many years. But this she couldn't kiss away. Her powers were no use today, While on the ground his body lay, To paradise he sped away. And so she wept for love of him Who's mortal life was at an end, And for the pain and shame he bore, And for herself she weeps some more.

Christ Laid In The Tomb

oseph of aramathaea,

being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore and took the body of Jesus. And there came also Nicodemus, which at first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, About an hundred pound weight. Then took they the body of Jesus, And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment.

The Resurection

oldiers had to watch & stay

Beside the tomb where Jesus lay, So that none could be decieved And Jesus' death would be believed; But then the heavy graveyard stone Began to roll back on it's own, And Jesus Christ alive again Came forth triumphant over sin; And many Saints rose up with him, For death had lost it's hold on them.

re sunrise women came to see

he tomb of Christ was now empty.

Jesus lives

ary blind with tears did cry,

Then Jesus came and asked her,"why?". "they've taken Jesus. Where is he?" Jesus paused and said,"Mary." Then she saw it was the Lord, Alive again! He'd kept his word! "Master!" She cried and hugged him so, But Jesus said,"Now, let me go. I must ascend, go tell my friends To our Father and God I must ascend."

On Holy Ground

ohn came running to the tomb

And looked inside the empty room. The great stone door had rolled away, So John stopped right outside to pray. Standing on this Holy Ground, He took his shoes off and knelt down. Christ the bush was not consumed By the fire of the tomb. Peter ran in right away, And there The Shroud Of Turin lay, But not a sign of Christ our Lord. He'd come to life, he'd kept his word. Not just alive in spirit, no, But Christ rose up in flesh, and so We know we'll rise in flesh as well. Our bodies wont be left in hell; And if his flesh is lifted up, Lets eat the bread and drink the cup.

The Road To Emmaus

isciples walking down the road

Met up with Jesus, we are told. They didn't recognize the Lord, But hung upon his every word, And he explained the word of God, How the Christ must shed his blood, And afterward be glorified. Till late they traveled by his side, They stopped to rest, and asked him in, So Christ, the Lord broke bread with them. Jesus Blessed and broke the bread. "This is My Body" Jesus said. Then thier eyes were opened wide. These men beheld The Crucified. They knew at once it was the Lord. To town they ran to spread the word. The Eucharist to us is shown; In breaking bread is Jesus known. No more as man does Christ appear, But now as bread is Jesus near.

He Apears To The Apostles

t evening being the first day of the week

when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them,"Peace be with you". And when he had so said he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

esus breathed upon his friends

And gave the Holy Spirit to them. The power to remove our sin, Or retain, he gave to them. This reconciling ministry Past from Apostles to our priests, So that forgiveness they might give To men like us, that we might live. Confess your sins to Holy men And know that Christ is there with them, For only God can forgive sins, But God does works of love through men. The power to retain our sins Is also exercised through men, So if we wont do pennance then We wont be set free, from our sin. This gift was given unto men That we might be set free from sin, So be like Christ by doing good, The works that Jesus said we would. But not proud of what we do, Confession humbles me and you. So when we our sins confess, We grow in grace and rightiousness.

Saint Thomas The Apostle

homas is my favorite one,

For in his doubt was faith begun. If they were too quick to believe, We might have said,"they're just naive." If he had not touched Jesus' hand, We might have thought him spirit, and If he had not touched Jesus side We might have though Christ never died. Thomas was like me and you. If we were there, we'd touch him too.

Fishing With Christ

esus standing by the sea

Said,"children, have you any meat?" They answered,"no". He said to them "cast your net out once again." Now they drew a mulitude. When we obey, Christ gives us food.

Do You Love Me?

hrist asked Peter,"do you love me?"

"oh, yes my Lord." "then feed my sheep." Again ihe asked,"do you love me?" "oh, yes again." "then feed my sheep." The third time now,"do you love me?" And Peter sad began to weep. "three times you asked if i love you, For three times i denied i knew. Oh, Christ, my Lord, you know all things! And desperatly to you i cling. Alone I'm week and so afraid. Oh Lord! I beg you, give me faith. By grace alone may i love thee" "then once again, go feed my sheep."

The Ascention

esus on the mountain high

Began to rise up to the sky. And said to those who stood below, "I now ascend to Heaven so, All power is mine in Heaven and earth Just as it was before my birth. Go preach the Gospel to every nation, Spread my word throughout creation. Teaching men that they must do All the things that I've taught you. Who is Baptized may receive Eternal life if they believe. If anyone does not believe, Damnation's all he can receive. Lo, I Am with you always Even to the end of days." Face to face did Moses speak With God who's glory was not seen. God had covered Moses' eyes And only after he passed by As God was drawing out of sight His glory shown all Holy light. And one day Christ will come again To judge the works of every man.

The Descent Of The Holy Spirit

n pentecost they heard the sound

A mighty wind and fire came down. The breath of life filled thier lungs And they began to speak in tongues. They ran outside into the street, And there from every land did meet Men who heard them all proclaim, In every language, Jesus' name. What at bable God divided Now by God is reunited. Then Peter said,"repent, and be Baptized with Jesus, just like me, And you'll receive the spirit too The life of God will dwell in you."

The Assumption Of Mary

he Virgin made by God above

A perfect gift to show God's love. Taken up into the sky, Mary didn't have to die. Taken up to Heaven, there She prays for sinners everywhere Now and at the hour of death She prays for us with every breath. Moses in the law declaired Enoch taken in the air; Then Elijah rode in flame, The Prophet taken up the same. Now, the mother of the Lord Is taken up by God's own word. So Law and Prophets, Gospel too Are there as witnesses for you, All spared from death by Holy grace, As witness for the human race.

The Coronation Of Mary

irgin Mother crowned our Queen,

Honored in the world unseen. Saints and angels bow to thee, Mother of Eternity. A throne provided for the Queen At the right hand of the King. Like rags is our rightiousness But clothed in sunlight you are Blessed. The moon declares the sun's bright light To those lost in the dark of night. So at her feet the Church falls down And angels form her stary crown. Holy Queen from Heaven sent Pray for sinners to repent. Oh Queen, you said each generation Will call you Blessed in every nation.

Even To The End Of The Age

esus' story never ends

For all the Saints are one with him. "What's done unto the least of these", Jesus said,"is done to me." Christ and all his Saint are one, Each is God's beloved son. The unity that Christians share The bread and cup of life declare. For in this shared communion meal, The presence of the Lord is real. So when to Saints we offer prayer We know that Jesus Christ is there, And if the Saints we do receive, It's Jesus Christ whom we believe. For every Martyr that has cried We see again that Christ has died, But Christ will raise us up again, To live one life in Heaven with him. What does this mean to you and me? We also are the least of these.

Meditation On Divine Mercy

saw my risen savior

And he showed his heart to me And he said "my heart will show you What I'm calling you to be." And rays of light both red and white Shown from his sacred heart And he said that in this vision Every Christian has a part. "The red light is for those who fast For those who suffer pain, Who shed thier tears for others Till thier teardrops fall like rain, Whos humble hearts are broken And offered up to me, For the sins of all thier fellow men They suffer willingly." Then Jesus said,"the red's for those Who shed thier blood and die, With thier faith in resurection They look up to the sky, And say,"Father please forgive them For what they do to me". Then laying down thier heads They pas into eternity."

Judgment Day

ehold the glorious Holy sight

The Saints of God all dressed in white, And the Queen clothed with the sun, They've come to see the spotless one. But who is this, in rags all dressed? He's clothed in his own righteousness. Confess your sin the King demands, But silence follows his comand. "so bind him up; take him away! Trespassers will not eat this day." "but wait ! My Lord!" Hear him exclaim "I have done wonders, in your name." But jeus said,"I never knew you, Evil one away with you."

esus reigns in Heaven above

Lord of life, of truth and love With his mother by his side And the Church to be his bride. The Lord said unto my Lord, "sit thow at my right hand, until I make thine enimies thy footstool." The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of zion:"rule thou in the midst of thy enimies."

Closing Prayer

lessed Virgin Mary

May your Immaculate Heart Be my shield Against every temptation A-men
