2013 FAI European Championships for Control Line Model Aircraft

For Seniors and Juniors in classes F2A, F2B, F2C, F2D 3-10 of august 2013 BKSCSABA, HUNGARY

Participation Every FAI affiliated National Airsport Control organization may enter a team which may consist of four individual competitors or four pairs of competitors for each category as a maximum provided that the fourth competitor is/are junior(s), one team manager and one assistant team manager. The individual European Champions in 2011 are also invited to participate. Junior champions being too old to defend their title may compete as seniors even if they are not members of their national senior team according to paragraph B.3.4 (Sporting Code, Section 4A, Volume ABR). Supporters are also kindly invited. Date 3-10 of August, 2013 Bkscsaba airport, Hungary Prizes and Awards FAI medals and diplomas will be awarded for individuals,juniors and teams. The following Perpetual Trophies will be awarded: F2B Individual - FAI Championnat dEurope F2B Don du Cercle Modliste Rullicois current holder Igor Burger (Slovakia) F2D Individual - Challenge Trophy current holder Pavel Ereklintcev (Rus) Site location The flying sites are located at Regional Airport of BKSCSABA. There are concrete circles available for the classes of F2A and F2C, where the 2010 World championship was held. The F2B and F2D contest will be held on grass covered field at the same airfield. Official practice concrete area is available for the F2C class at airport parking area painted circles and safety fences.Two square km well trimmed grass covered practice area will be available for F2B and F2D at the airport. F2A training will be on the contest site.

Transport Site is to be reached by car on national road 44 from the direction of Gyula or Bkscsaba.Distance is approx. 8 km from both direction.Public transport available by Bus from each above mentioned cities.Bus stop is around 1 km walk from Site.

Weather The prevailed character of weather of August is dry continental, with average daily temperature of 27C.

Competition rules The FAI Sporting Code valid for 2013 will be applied with all applicable amendments. Sporting licenses Each competitor, combat pitman, team manager and assistant TM must possess FAI Sporting License valid for 2013. The official languages are English and Hungarian.

Organizer On behalf of and in cooperation with the Hungarian Assotiation of Modellers, the organizing body is the BUMACOFLY AEROCLUB . Entry fees 250 Euro per adult competitor for Classes F2A,F2B, F2C, F2D JUNIOR ENTRY IS FREE OF CHARGE! 100 Euro per team manager and assistant team manager 50 Euro per combat pit man Supporter fee is free of charge! (15 Euro in case if they are interested in the gift package.) The entry fee covers access to flying sites, participation in the championships, and gifts. Important note: All payments are to be made only in Euro. Checks are not accepted. Protest fee The protest fee is 35 Euro. Banquet fee The banquet fee is 40 Euro.Banquett will be held on contest site. Accommodation

Gyulatourist Office manages the booking of hotels, motels and camping. Their dedicated web page address is the following: www.gyula-hotels.hu (linked also to the organizers web site). Accommodations are offered in a wide variety. As an average in medium hotels, for one person in a double room (breakfast included), costs 30 . Camping at flying site is not allowed!Official Camping area is about 3 kms from Flying site.Participants will get information for booking place in camping. Booking and payment shall be done on your own. Food Professional Food & Drink provider will be present on the flying site. Several restaurants offers daily menus in the lunch breaks in Gyula and Bkscsaba on an average prize of 5-8 , this concerns also for dinners. Entry applications Entry applications are accepted by internet and by post validated officialy by NACs The preliminary entry deadline is 1 of march, 2013. The final entry deadline is April 30, 2013. (Final Entry Form will be published as attachment to Bulletin 2.) Payments All payments must be received the latest until April 30, 2013. Citizens from EU must bring EC-111 health insurance certificate. Non EU citizens must provide own insurance and a copy must be enclosed to the final entry. Spectators & media Spectators and media representatives will be welcome during the entire championships. The PR officer of the championship will be available for the media representatives. Anti-doping In case a competitor has to take any of the substances listed on the WADA Prohibited List for medical treatment then must have Therapeutic Use Exemption from the FAI.
