Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Embedded Commands

The Embedded Command is a Neuro-Linguistic Programming technique can be

unethically used to hypnotize a person into believing something that the person would not

normally believe.

Example: Pepsi is better than Coke.

Now, we know the above may not be true and reject this, but please consider the

following:

“I’m not sure I agree, but Bill Smith says, ‘Pepsi is better than Coke.’”

Now, the above is a persuasive command to believe the statement “Pepsi is better than

Coke.” First there is the Lead to establish rapport, then the hook, which is embedded in

a quotation with a quoted authority.
