Infinite Summation

The goal of this task is to investigate the sum of the infinite sequence tn

This is the basis equation, which help our investigation to be done. In order to investigate I
consider the following sequence of terms where x = 1 and a = 2. I searched the above sequence for
and plotted it in a graph.

First exercise: 0 < n < 10 (a=2 and x=1)

As a continuation of the first investigation I used the basis equation with x = 1 and a = 3. Ive done
the same process again: data and plot.

The function has the same behaviour, but this time the limit was the number 3, the one it
was placed in a.
The following graphs and data are just complementary examples to show more clearly the
behaviour of the function.

Those examples show the behaviour of the function in different cases but always with x =
1. In order to expand our investigation and to determine de infinite sum of the sequence another
examples were done. This time the numbers placed in x are different.

During the whole investigation the behaviour of the function is almost the same, beside
the different numbers placed in x or a. That characteristic is the central point of the general
statement. The limit of the function is the real number placed in a, which in most cases is different.
To observe this conduct the following graph shows the first four exercises placed in only one graph.

Finally with this graph its possible to observe the conduct of the sum of this infinite
sequence, which has the limit in a:

Possible Limitation and Improvements

Because of the logarithmic formula it is not possible to place a negative number or 0 in a.

If a negative number is placed in x the whole result would be also a negative number.
