Dear Clark County School District Human Resource Department: I am interested in applying for a secondary teaching position within the Clark County School District (CCSD). As a 2013 graduate of Nevada State College and a 2011 graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, I am certified to teach both Mathematics and English at the high school level. I am enthusiastic about starting my teaching career, and I know that I will be able to contribute to my school and to the district. My resume is enclosed for your review. I completed my student teaching at Green Valley High School, where I was not only able to teach classes, but also get involved in the school by going to games and meets and holding after-school test preparatory sessions. In addition to my student teaching, I have over 30 hours of observation hours, and I have tutored English Language Learners in both English and Math. I feel that I am ready to begin doing what I most enjoy: teaching at the high school level. In hiring me, you would gain an individual who is industrious, motivated, personable, and dependable. I pick up on new things quickly, and I have always had a passion for learning and teaching. I have excelled academically and I worked as a technical editor for the Nevada National Security Site for two years, honing both my computer savvy and knowledge of the English language. I wish to continue to challenge myself academically while committing myself to motivating and improving high school students. Thank you so much for your time. I would appreciate the opportunity to meet and discuss my credentials. I am eager to join the CCSD and begin teaching. Thank you again for your consideration! Sincerely,

CAROLYN LABUDA SICH
