WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD?

Romans 8:33-39
Do you want a love relationship that will last forever? There is only one love relationship that will last forever and that is our relationship to Christ. Once we have been born again by the Holy Spirit of God, NOTHING can separate us from that love! NOTHING absolutely NOTHING! All other love relationships will one day come to an end. Either through unfaithfulness or death, but Christ will always be there for us. I love my family and friends and I thank God for every one of them, but I know that what I have in them today, could well be gone tomorrow. What are some of the things that can separate us from our loved ones? What about tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Any of these things can come between us and our loved ones, BUT they are not powerful enough to come between us and God. Plus, we can conquer any of the problems that these things bring into our lives IF we let the Lord work through us, BECAUSE He loves us! Paul said he was persuaded (that means no doubts), that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature (as one preacher put it, not even your mother-in-law) shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Wow!!!! That is a love relationship that is safe and secure. February is when we stop and say I love you to those that are dear to us. Gloria and I have loved each other going on 53 years. We have been blessed to have one another to lean upon and go to when looking for comfort and love, but not everyone has a soul mate. They may have a husband or a wife and yet not be knit in heart with one another. Why? Something has separated them and robbed them of the warmth and the sweetness of love. We must work and labour (of love) to keep the fires burning in our love life. We must not allow this world to separate us from those God has called us to love. Paul says we are more than conquerors and yet many of Gods children are not conquering their relationships. Why? Because it means dying to self and giving yourself to meet someone elses needs instead of yours. It means letting God heal your wounds so your spirit can live again. It means laying down all vengeance and trusting God to judge righteously

Last month we left a name off the list. We apologize for that and if you know of anyone we may have missed, please let us know. To our surprise, our nine year old grandson, Caleb, has taken the challenge of reading through his Bible. He started three weeks ago and is in II Chronicles. I have questioned him about the content he has read and he is quick to tell me the stories he has read. He wants to be the youngest to read through his Bible. Most of our grandchildren have read through their Bibles, but I believe Caleb is the youngest. Challenge your children, you will be surprised what they can do.

ADDED NAMES TO THOSE WHO HAVE READ THROUGH THEIR BIBLES PATSY RAGLAND

I love good books! A friend gave me some books last week to add to our library (3,000 books). I was looking through the books and found a book marked, The true story behind the poem that inspired millions, Footprints. It began with a most interesting story of their troubles. The couple were full time Childrens workers and they were home for a days rest when their daughter called and asked them to help her take some children for an outing in Golden Ears park and picnic at the Lower Falls. It was just 10 miles away and they agreed to help her. The daughter told her mother to bring her swimsuit and wear her dress over it. She dressed quickly and threw on the top she had wore the day before, which later she learned, that in her pocket were her husbands heart pills and extra strength Tylenol.

(Continued from page 1) WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD?
It means, forgiving as Christ forgave you, while you were yet a sinner. Forgiveness does not remove the penalty from a persons wrong. It means you leave it with God, the righteous judge, and you love them because Christ loved them and gave His life for them (as well as for you). Gloria and I have had to fight to keep our love warm toward one another these 53 years. We daily battle our flesh and therefore we will always have to fight to keep a godly love for one another. Some days we dont like each other and it is on those days that our love for the Lord brings us back into the spirit and keeps us from doing damage to one another. Are we always successful? No! Many times we have to apologize to God and to each other, but we have learned not to wait or linger about making things right with one another. We practice the verse, Let not the sun go down upon thy wrath. We take care of business before we lay down to sleep. Doing right feels so good. Why would we wait to do it? You may remember Little George Havens and his wife Lucy. Little George Havens went to be with the Lord some years ago, but Mrs. Lucy still is living and serving the Lord with all her might. Little George was very short and Mrs. Lucy was rather tall. Bro. Roloff would have Little George to preach for him on the radio and because of his size, his voice sounded like a woman. Bro. Roloff would get letters asking what he was doing letting a woman preach. Little George and Mrs. Lucy were great servants of the Lord. Someone ask Little George one day if he and Mrs. Lucy ever argued. Little George said, No! We dont argue. But sometimes you can hear us reasoning things out for a couple of blocks. No marriage is without differences, but we can live in peace if we work at keeping unity with one another. What has happened to our America, where family members are killing each other in large numbers every day. When did we start hating and quit loving one another? Why is it we can forgive everybody except those we live with? The people in the world are not effected that much by whether we love or hate them. But those we live with at home are effected daily by our actions. When a family member says something unlovely, it goes straight to the bottom of the heart. No one can hurt your life like a family member can. Why do we act ugly to one another?
Matt 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Love never fails! Prophesy, tongues and knowledge will cease, but love will go all the way to glory with us. There will never be a time or a place where love will not be. For God is love, and God is everywhere.

It is by love that others know that we are disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Lets commit this year to learn all we can about loving as Christ loved us. Love covers a multitude of sins! Who are we suppose to love? We are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, our minds, our strength, our soul and all that is within us. We are to love our neighbor as ourselves and we are to love our enemies. I think that covers everyone. The only way we can fullfil this command is to be sure that our first love is the Lord our God, then loving everyone else will just come natural.
Rom 8:33-39 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Gods elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ----Editor

This is why our love has grown cold toward one another! Iniquity is perverted thinking. It is truth and a lie mixed together, or you might say good and evil mixed together. We have been eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil instead of the tree of life! Purity and righteousness brings warm love! The body of Christ has become so much like the world that the world has no example of the Light and the Life of Christ. Christ said, If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me. Cold love does not lift up Christ to a lost world. Would you say that your home is a good example of godly love? Do YOU live a godly love in your home? We cant make everyone do right, but we must not let others convince us to do anything less than God has commanded us to do. Do you remember the little chorus, This little light of mine? Does your little light shine with a warm love toward your family and loved ones?

PLANT YOURSELF IN CHURCH GOD WILL PROVIDE THE MIRACLE-GROW

When they arrived at the park, her husband warned everyone that the rocks would be slippery and to be careful. There was a forty-foot-deep glacier pool to one side. The ladys husband elected to stay on the other side of the glacier pool to study for a sermon and the others crossed the slipery rocks. After awhile, the daughter decided to cross over to where her daddy was. She was almost to him (he was holding out his hand) when she slipped. There was a sixty-eight-foot falls on one side and the forty-foot-glacier on the other. The daughter fell into a whirlpool of water and it sucked her into its vortex, spinning her around three times and before anyone could help, she was spun out and over the falls. Everyone was screaming. The mother glanced across at her husband and saw him cluth his chest and fall. He was having a heart attact. The mother saw she couldnt help her daughter and thought she was surely dead. She was fearful to walk across the rocks to her husband, so she decided to swim the icy water to get to him. As she started for the water, she heard a voice from where her husband was saying, I am throwing you a rope to help you cross. His wife was a nurse, who was at that very moment administering aid to her husband. As the woman was swimming to her husband she fell on a rock and broke her arm. Below the falls two young men saw her daughters body in the water and brought her to shore. There was a nurse there (sister to the nurse helping husband) and she was able to revive the daughter. One of the young men was a long-distance runner and immediately went for help. Four hours later they were at the hospital and their lives were saved. The swim suit, the rope, the two nurses, the pills, Tylenol and the young runner was Gods preparations. At the hospital a nurse prayed with the husband and read him a poem. That poem had been written 20 yrs. earlier by his wife and had been lost in a move. The book is a story about the lose of the poem and was published in 1998 by Margaret Fishback Powers, HarperSanFrancisco.

LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY!

Luke 11:1-4 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. KJV

Did you ever try to tell someone the heartache you were bearing and you felt they didnt understand at all? As bad as they might want to hear and as bad as you might want them to hear, it still did not work. Thats not so with Christ. He hears and He knows what you are talking about. But better yet, He cares what you are bearing and what it is doing to your life. HE CARES for us. What is it that we are looking for when we go to prayer? We are looking for mercy, grace (acceptance) and provisions. If the Lord shows mercy and grace, we know that we have found favour in His sight and that He is listening to our cry. When you begin to pray, stop, ask yourself if you feel in your spirit that you have found mercy and grace. If not, ask yourself what is in your heart that could be holding that back. Begin by getting your heart right with God. God responds to the heart of man! We must acknowledge the holiness of God. His name represents His character (Hallowed be thy name). Our desire should be to do things the way God designed them to be done. Thy Will Be Done. A lot of people talk about living without sin and the effects of sin in heaven, but they dont want to live the life that produces good until they get to heaven. God wants us in obedience to His Word while living upon this earth. Thy Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven. Is that your hearts desire? If so you will accept anything God does concerning your prayer. (Continued on page 7)

Can you image sitting beside Jesus and listening to Him pray? I would be just like the disciples. I would say, Teach me to pray like that. It must have been like sitting in on a private conversation with the family. I have been a Christian for 53 years and I have prayed many prayers, but I feel like I havent begun to know how to pray as I ought. There is much to think about when we go to pray for something or someone. First of all, do we believe in prayer? Do we believe God hears our prayers? Do you believe God hears YOUR prayers? We must have faith to believe that God hears and cares about our prayers. Is anything too large or to small to bring before God? No!!! He cares for us and if it effects us, it effects Him and He wants to hear about it.
Heb 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Jesus gave the disciples a pattern for praying. We begin by acknowledging where God is. He is in heaven. He is sitting on His throne with all His saints and angels around Him (the saints would mean the redeemed, which would be our loved ones). The Lord Jesus Christ is sitting beside Him, acting as our High Priest, making intercession for us as we pray. Jesus lived as man and therefore He knows how we feel and what we are talking about. HE UNDERSTANDS!

Minute Men Ministry

Bobby & Abby Bosler and Team

Bro. Bobby and his family/ team came through Cedar Hill while on their way to Houston Texas. It was so good to fellowship with them and hear how God is saving many young people through their ministry. Our church was blessed last year by their work and we still have many young people attending and growing in the Lord because of their ministry. They can be found on the internet if you would like to have them at your church.

BREAD OF LIFE MINISTRY

Bro. Larry and Judy Connor
Bro. Larry and Judy Connor have been a great blessing to Wonderful Word Publishers. For years now they have printed, free of charge, all the materials that Wonderful Word has given out. Bro. Larry and Mrs. Judy are faithful members of the Galilean Baptist Church and they do their print work from their home. Bro. Larry has built a print shop on the back of their property. Several of the members of Galilean work long hours folding and packing these tracts. They have been extremely busy for some time. Last year they printed 1,253,000 tracts that went to various churches in the US, Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries. They print mostly in Spanish but print many in English. This year (January and February) they have printed 328,290 tracts and have orders for another 1,250,000. 1,120,000 tracts went to Baha, Mexico and the rest to Nicaragua. These were printed for the ministry of Bro. Trinidad and Betty Garza of San Antonio, Texas. Bro. Trinidad takes tracts all over our country as well as Mexico, Cuba, Honduras, Nicaragua and other Spanish speaking countries. They printed 40,000 tracts for Bro. Tommy Ashcraft (Missionary to Mexico), plus smaller numbers of tracts for churches in the United States. At this time they are printing 262,000 tracts for Wonderful Word Publishers. Most of these will go to Mexico. Bro. Larry and Judy never charge for their work. They say, Salvation is free and we feel that tracts should be free as well. We all know that everything cost someone. There is a printing supplier that has supplied ink and some equipment over the years. They have been very generous to this work. What Bro. Larry and Mrs. Judy have to pray down, is the paper, which is quite expensive. An order of 1,000,000 tracts runs from $1,800.00 and up, depending upon the size of the tract. As long as God supplies the paper, the work goes forward. God has over and over caused the paper to be put on sale when they needed large amounts. This helps tremendously. If God lays it on your heart to help supply paper for this work, you can send your support to their work, at % Galilean Baptist Church, Bread of Life Ministry, 1155 N. 67, Cedar Hill, Tx 75104. We would appreciate it if you let then know that you learned of them through Tid Bits of Wisdom.

Bro. Chris, Amy, Caleb and Andrew Murray The Murrays are missionaries to the Philippines. They have been on the field for over 16 years and the Lord has richly blessed their labor. They have been in the states since March of last year and will return home in March of this year. We met this couple in 1996 and had not seen them since the birth of their children. It was so good to share what the Lord has done in our lives through the years. Please pray for this family as they return to the field to be used of God in the lives of the people.

TID BITS OF WISDOM MONTHLY REPORT

We hope you had a great Valentines Day and that you told those around you just how much you love them and how much they mean to you. Its a good opportunity to express love since so often we are busy and forget to stop and smell the roses. Much has taken place this last month. Our granddaughter Holly was baptized and our son Tom has been to Africa and India this month. Our daughterin-law Rhesa is going to Africa the end of this month. The first of the year our son took the leadership of a mission that supports works in several countries. He is visiting the works and trying to get a feel of the work he has committed to. This is the same son that has made it possible for us to print our paper each month. We are so thankful when the Lord uses our children. The Lord has used each one of our children in different ways and we pray for our children like Job prayed for his. Every day each one of us face testings and trials that can draw us away from the heart of God. We need to remember to pray for one another that we will be overcomers of this life and as the Bible says, And above all to STAND. We have had several missionaries come through this last month. Bro. Chris and Mrs. Amy Murray, with their two sons, Caleb and Andrew. They have been many years in the Phillipines and it had been about 15 years since we had visited with them. Also Bro. Wally and Mrs. Norma Higgins were in our services with his sister Mary Higgins. They are church planters, Founder, & Representative for Northwest Baptist Missions. They are planting churches in the Intermountain West. Bro. Higgins is having some health problems and would appreciate your prayers. Also Bro. Chris Murray ended up in the hospital after our visit, with Kidney Stones. They would appreciate your prayers also. The Guay family appreciate your financial support as well as your prayers for them as they adjust to the change in their family after the death of their two children. Tid Bits of Wisdom was able to give over $1,700 to the Guays through your giving last month.
I want to thank you for sending Tid Bits of Wisdom. It is food for my soul and every article full of godly wisdom. Gloria, your article on Why women should read the Bible was a blessing. GIVE THE COLD SHOULDER!

Today this is a figurative expression, meaning to slight a person with a snub. During the Middle Ages in Europe, however to give the cold shoulder was a literal term that meant serving a guest who overstayed his welcome a platter of cooked but cold beef shoulder. After a few meals of cold shoulder, even the most persistent guest was supposed to be ready to leave.

(Continued from page 4) LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY!

One of my children and I were talking the other day about effectual prayer and why we dont see healings and mountains moving like the Bible speaks about. He had a friend die of cancer that had over 1,000 people on face book that were asking the Lord to heal him. These 1,000 people were very serious about their prayers. They were expecting him to be healed, yet the Lord called him home. I am sure that the Guay family would never have prayed for the Lord to take two of their children in their youth, yet God did. We would never pray for separation from our loved ones and we would never pray for troubles to come into our lives. These things will happen according to the Will of God, at His timing and His bidding. We cannot pray all our troubles away. So how do we pray and know that God will be there? Begin with, Thy Will Be Done. My son said, Mother, that is a cop out in case He doesnt do what you asked. I agreed, that many people use that for a cop out in case God doesnt do as they asked, but we must desire Gods Will above our will or we will never pray effectually. We dont know Gods Will in these situations. We dont know what He is doing in lives, or do we know how it is working in His kingdom. This is the unknown and that is why we must say, Thy Will Be Done. Sickness is not always because of sin. Some sickness comes so God can heal and get glory through it, while other sickness comes as a way to take us home to be with the Lord. Elisha died of his sickness. God called it HIS sickness. About a year after he died, they dropped a dead man upon his bones and the dead man came alive!!! Elisha had enough power in his body to raise the dead, but he died anyway, because it was the Will of God! Jesus asked God to remove the cup of sorrow from Him and then said, Nevertheless, not My will, but Thine be done. Now if anybody ever prayed with a pure heart and a pure faith, it was the Lord Jesus Christ, who lived a perfect life. When we pray, the bottom line should always be, I will agree to your will, even if it differs from mine. I will trust and serve you anyway. I will trust you for the things you withhold from me and believe that you did it for my good. Do we stop asking for our hearts desires because of the unknown? No! The Lord has promised to give me my hearts desires if I will delight myself in Him. Whatever I desire when I pray, God will bring that desire to pass, even though He doesnt do it my way, or in my time frame! God cares about my desires. I prayed for my husbands salvation for 15 years before God revealed to Him that he was lost. Many times I wondered if God cared what I had to endure while waiting. Looking back, Gods timing was perfect. I cannot tell you how much I learned about myself and my God while waiting for the answer to my prayer. We had a dear preacher friend to die of cancer some years ago. He was a great man of faith and God had honored his faith for all to see. The greatest attribute of this man was his faith. When he got cancer he felt that if he acknowledged that he could die, then that would be a lack of faith, but if he only took the view that he would be healed, then that faith would save his life. He died in great turmoil because he didnt understand why he wasnt healed. I told him at his last days that I was sure he would die, because had he lived he would have preached that everyone that died sick, died because of a lack of faith. God decides how we will die and sickness is one of those ways. Then how should we pray? We should first submit ourselves to the will of God and then pour our

hearts desires out before God. If there is any way that the will of God and our desires can be done and still accomplish His Will and His purposes, it will be done!!! Why should we pray if only Gods Will will be done? The Bible says God is not willing that any perish. Many saints have changed the mind of God, but no one has, or ever will, change the character of God. We are told in scripture to pray that the days of tribulation be shortened. Our prayers can make a difference to the timing of the tribulation, but no prayer can stop the tribulation. God says to pray that the tribulation will not be in the winter or on a Sabbath, because that would be very hard on the people. Our prayers can effect the time of year that the tribulation begins, but no prayer can stop the tribulation. Hezekiah prayed that he wouldnt die and God added 15 years to his life. He still died, but God in His grace and mercy added to his life. Prayer changes things, but the purposes and the will of God will reign forever. Cuddle up to the Will of God and pour your heart out to your Saviour and watch mountains move and healings take place and see many blessings you cant even image. I take EVERYTHING to the Lord in prayer and I rise up from my knees with an assurance that God heard, God cares, God understands and He will respond in His loving kindness, His mercy and His grace. Everything will be alright!!!! James tells us that the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

God can put a rainbow of hope over your cloud of dispare.

Love Lifted Me
I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore, Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more, But the Master of the sea, heard my despairing cry, From the waters lifted me, now safe am I. Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help Love lifted me! All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I'll cling In His blessed presence live, ever His praises sing, Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul's best songs, Faithful, loving service too, to Him belongs. Souls in danger look above, Jesus completely saves, He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves. He's the Master of the sea, billows His will obey, He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.

1 Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
