Argo Floats

Robotic Autonomous

acquire pressure,
temperature, &
salinity from the
surface to 2000
meters depth in
every 10 days
Components of Argo Float:

• Satellite antenna
• CTD sensor
• Satellite Transmitter (Using GTS
satellite for data transmition from
float to receiver station)
• Air pump / valve
• Hydraulic pump (piston)
• Hydraulic oil
• Pneumatic bladder
• Lithium battery
