Contents of Technical Report:

1. Introduction

(5 marks)

Discuss and explain the concept/theory/principle that has been chosen using your own words, as well as the chosen system/case study in details. You must be able to clearly define the relations between concept/theory/principle and the chosen system/case study. The significance of this study must be emphasized.

2. Objectives/Aims

(3 marks)

Refer to the targeted outcomes that you are looking for (seeking to be achieved) by doing this project. They must be stated briefly in precise manner.

3. Scopes

(2 marks)

Explain the chosen area of the system where the analysis was conducted, and please mention any limitation. For example, you may mention that only 2D analysis was performed.

4. Analysis Precisely show your analysis using

(20 marks) the correct concept/theory/principle. Every

figure/diagram/FBD must be clearly

5. Discussion

(10 marks)

Use your top brain to discuss/compare/investigate the results obtained from the analysis, and make comments of any error/mistake as well as highlight your observation. For example, if there are several different configurations of one system are considered, you could make comments on each of them, and compare the advantages/disadvantage between one to another.

6. Summary/conclusion

(3 marks)

Summarize the whole works that have been performed throughout the project, and relate the results/discussion with the objectives.

7. Recommendation for further work

(2 marks)

Briefly recommend any further works that can be conducted to improve the current results, analysis, etc.

8. Appendices

(2 marks)

You must compile any additional figures, documents, diagrams, etc that were used in your project in the appendices of your report. Each of those figures, documents, diagrams, etc must be cited clearly in your text. For example: . the details of crane measurement is shown by Figure A1 in Appendix A.

9. References

(3 marks)

Every single reference where the information is taken from must be clearly mentioned in this part. Again, it must be clearly cited in your text. For instance: Based on the published data in [1], the highest moment is measured... Then in your references:

Remarks on the technical report: The report must be submitted on the day of your groups presentation Maximum 20 pages, excluding Appendices and References Font: Times New Roman, Size 12. It must be handed in a very good presentation (clear, clean etc).

Remarks on the presentation: The date and schedule of group presentation will be given later. Presentation: 10 minutes. Q&A session: 5 minutes Every member must present.
