What are adjectives? Adjectives are used to describe nouns. They are words that describe or modify another person, thing, place, or idea in the sentence. They can also describe pronouns, which are words that stand in for nouns. Adjectives most of the time come before the word, they are used to describe nouns.

What are pronouns? A pronoun has the same meaning as a noun. I like Mr Bean. I know him well (Him has the same meaning as Mr Bean as it refers to him.) I know Sarah. She is a really friendly person. (The pronouns she refers to the noun Sarah.) Possessive adjectives A possessive adjective describes something that belongs to the person or thing.
