Moisturizing: Panthenol and 2% Urea moisturize the skin due to their hygroscopic

Regenerating: Allantoin and Panthenol increase the mitotic index and stimulates the epidermal regeneration, as well as activates broblast proliferation and collagen synthesis. Mild anti-in ammatory: Clinical trials showed that Panthenol and Chamomile extract have mild anti-in ammatory action. The action of 5% Panthenol, as well as Chamomile extract is comparable with that of hydrocortisone 0,25%.

The table depicts the daily progress of SC hydration in 10 patients with psoriasis over 14 days. A signi cant increase in skin hydration was observed in areas where Urea 10% was applied (In 2 weeks +73%, p<0.025). Even after 2 days following the start of treatment, Urea 10% was signi cantly better than placebo.
