Hymn of Praise
BECAUSE HE LIVES
God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus, He came to love, heal, and forgive; He lived and died to buy my pardon, An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
Verse 1
How sweet to hold a newborn baby, And feel the pride, and joy He gives; But greater still the calm assurance, This child can face uncertain days because He lives.
Verse 2
And then one day Ill cross the river, Ill fight lifes final war with pain; And then as death gives way to victry, Ill see the lights of glory and Ill know He lives.

Because He lives I can face tomorrow, Because He lives all fear is gone; Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because He lives.

Unison Scriptures
7:00 a.m.
MARK 16:1-8 (Good News) After the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices to go and anoint the body of Jesus.2Very early on Sunday morning, at sunrise, they went to the tomb.3-4On the way they said to one another, Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb? (It was a very large stone.) Then they looked up and saw that the stone had already been rolled back.5So they entered the tomb, where they saw a young man sitting at the right, wearing a white robeand they were alarmed.
1
Don't be alarmed, he said. I know you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is not herehe has been raised! Look, here is the place where he was placed.7Now go and give this message to his disciples, including Peter: He is going to Galilee ahead of you; there you will see him, just as he told you.
6
So they went out and ran from the tomb, distressed and terrified. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.
8
JOHN 20:1 (NIV) Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.

THE UNFOLDING MESSAGE BLESSINGS
hat a blessing it must have been for Jesus to have that gentle walk to Emmaus! (Luke 24:13-35) After years of ministry, with confrontations, misunderstandings, a cruel trial and crucifixion, finally resurrection came. Jesus had fulfilled his mission. Now, he wanted to help people understand what it all meant.
What a blessing it must have been for Jesus companions to have that gentle walk to Emmaus! Two believers walked out from Jerusalem about seven miles. They did not recognize the person they encountered, but they listened with rapt attention to his words. Gradually they realized that what they had learned from Jesus over recent years all fit together in Gods plan. The difficulties and the final tragic loss had been the birth pangs of a new and promising kingdom, not an earthly power, but a spiritual power, that could transform their life. Their inner eyes were opened and gradually their outer eyes enabled them to know that it was Jesus. Jesus was still with them. Can we today hear the message, now fully unfolded before our eyes? Can we have a gentle walk with Jesus to whatever our destination may be? We may say, Happy Easter! It might be better to say, Blessed Easter! Feel the blessing of knowing that all of our life is in Gods Hands and we are on the road to fulfillment. It is Jesus who is our constant companion. Jesus helps us see that the struggle of life is worthwhile. We are part of a universal struggle toward the reign of love and peace. Each of us has a role to play in that struggle, but we are not alone. God is with us. Other believers are with us, even though their particular understanding of God may vary from ours. We all are part of Gods household. Experience Gods blessing, Christs blessing, and walk on, as a living disciple, to share what you have learned. Be a blessing to others!
