Together Caterpillar and Cat Dealers are helping to protect your environment by offering extended oil change intervals on diesel standby generator sets rated from 200 kW to 5.3 MW. Customers participating in a Customer Support Agreement (CSA) through their local Cat Dealer have the option to triple their oil drain intervals, thus reducing waste oil disposal by 67%. In addition to protecting your environment, this optional extended oil drain program provides value to customers using Cat generator sets by lowering maintenance costs. This supports the on-going sustainability efforts of Caterpillar.

Detailed Requirements
The extended drain intervals option is available to customers whose diesel standby generator set rated from 200 kW to 5.3 MW is enrolled in a Cat Dealer CSA that includes the following: Cat diesel engine oil changed every 36 months (or recommended engine hours.) Cat engine oil filters changed every 12 months Cat fuel filters changed every 12 months Cat air filters Distillate diesel fuel Cat diesel engine coolant SM Use of Cat SOS Services Oil Analysis Program

3 Number of Fills

Fuel storage and maintenance practices must be used that meet or exceed the recommendations as published in the most current revision of Caterpillar Commercial Diesel Engine Fluids Recommendations. The standard oil drain interval, as defined in the owning and operating guide for Cat diesel standby gensets rated from 200 kW to 5.3 MW, is one year. The extended oil drain program gives you the option to extend the interval up to three years.
